Master 3479 Utah | Subject: RE: Ghoulie work it out, take it off, write it down challenge! So my hubby is on his way home. He should be home around dinner time. Then he leaves again sometime tomorrow. His exact words: "I have to be there as soon as possible. Whatever that means,". Indeed. Maybe his laundry will take all weekend? ha. A girl can dream, right? He'll be gone another week-ish, then he'll do the same overnight-ish stay and be gone for another week or two. *le sigh* The insurance adjuster is supposed to come out today, but they never called me to confirm or set up a time frame. And he's not answering his cell phone. I am thinking I may need to continuously call him until he answers. mwahahaha. |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulie work it out, take it off, write it down challenge! Last night our running group did hill workouts. My knees are killing me today, but at least not in a bad way, but in "gee I didn't know I had muscles there!" kind of way. Don't expect me to run today. And we had thought we would go and ride the bikes after the run yesterday. HA! That wasn't going to happen. I went straight home to the cold packs (unfortunatley not the drinking kind). |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Ghoulie work it out, take it off, write it down challenge! Heya Ghoulies. Today went well. No surgery pending. it all looks okay and the biopsy will tell for sure. Good news, I do not have cancer (that we know of). The place I go is called "Hope- a women's cancer center". Most of the women I saw today, some with their kids or sig others with them, are NOT so lucky, so I am having a fantastic day. Ann, hope your day got better. Let me know if I need to do a road trip. I just need a little time (couple of hours) to figure out dogs/ cat / issues and I'll be on my way- Amy, I am in awe of how you manage with the DH being gone so much. It amazes me the randomness. I have had friends who's partners work on drill rigs and they are gone a lot.... but then they are home. At least they have a schedule. even if random Kendra and Stacie. Yea !! on your workouts on pavement and water. Good job. Ice as necessary but save some for the adult beverages.
I am off for a bit of therapeutic wineage myself right now. MWAH! Ghouligans. |

Champion 6225 | Subject: RE: Ghoulie work it out, take it off, write it down challenge! LOTS AND LOTS OF GOOD NEWS IN THE VILLAGE THIS MORNING.
YAY ROBIN! YAY ANN! heres to even better days ahead. the boys are off to school and i will heading out soon as well. 1.9 mile run at the Y. i got informed yesturday that my oldest son has a 3 day in school suspension for stealing materials from his power technology class. he went to his room and brought down all this teeny tiny switch boards and wires and crap. hes notorious for walking around stores and other places and randomly picking up things and stuffing them in his pocket. this obviously is a little more serious than that. i had seen the stuff before and when i questioned him he said it was from his class at school, that it was leftover and the teacher said he could have it. uhm. apparently that wasnt the truth. lesson learned NEVER EVER EVER BELIEVE YOUR 14 YEAR OLD. apparently he failed to bring home his midterm report card as well. i just found out that he is failing two classes - health and algebra. geesh. if its not one thing its another. i emailed his emotional support teacher today (he's autistic) hopefully i will get some response from them soon. i just dont understand how a kid can be failing a class and NOBODY at the school contacts me??? the teacher, the emotional support teacher, anyone? i mean i understand as a parent you need to be involved too, which I am. i guess i just dont understand how it works. the school is HUGE and really he should be somewhere smaller and more specialized to meet his needs. its hard because soon to be EX isnt involved in anyway, so i feel like the whole thing falls on me to take care of. and anytime i try and talk to my son about whats going at school he either doesnt answer or yells at me. grrrr. teenagers. im trying to take it all in stride. one day at a time. one thing at a time. i knew what life would be like having a son with Aspergers. this is all a part of it. BREATHE. stacieb Edited by skrtrnr 2011-03-04 7:33 AM |
