So where were YOU when I was spending summers in Palo Alto and then college-interned in South San Francisco? Got me. Hmmm.... I guess that depends on when you were there. Unlike the rest of you with the nice weather today, it's raining again here. So, I was stuck riding the trainer and going to the gym to swim indoors. I'm Judi. I rode outdoors and swore I would be dodging raindrops most of the afternoon. Managed to stay dry but didn't manage to avoid a flat tire. |

Well I haven't been able to go to the pool yet. I'm not sure what's going on with my body but I feel off. I really hope I'm not getting sick. I'm attempting the pool tomorrow as today I barely slept, woke up with a really bad headache and my joints hurt. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that whatever this is it goes away soon. |

Master 2042 Albany, NY | Subject: RE: June Battle of the Triathlon Sports Challenge Wow, lots to catch up on from the weekend when I got sucked in to the crazy home life stuff... Saturday I got up early and got a ride in. It was a little cool, but I'm glad I did while the weekend was still quiet. I forgot my glove, and my wrist was a little sore but felt great about an hour later. I have one more PT session but I'm considering myself HEALED! Especially, what I did the rest of the afternoon... Bike ride was followed up by a soccer game and then about 4 hours of yard work, including hedge trimming. If my wrist can take that, it can take anything! Oh, and then the inlaws showed up unannounced for dinner. Sunday started off sluggish from all the sun the day before... then dance pictures for both girls. And by the time we got home hubby had developed a mysterious 101 degree fever (although conveniently after his fishing trip all morning). I spent the rest of the day finishing the hedges and trying to keep me and the kids away from hubby. We will NOT get sick! The bummer was that yesterday was our anniversary (8 years)... I celebrated with a glass of wine and a snoring, feverish hubby on the couch. Good times. Now, I just have to rememeber that I'm on the RUN team... and go get a RUN in! |

I feel your pain I was hoping for a running reprieve this week but it isn't feeling good so I have another physio appointment today and I do not think it will be a good outcome. No way I can do the marathon in 4 weeks now anyway and I have a sneaking suspicion I won't be running for a good couple of weeks more at all I may have to either pull out or switch to the bike team. |

This happened to me as well. The past week felt "off" and then yesterday morning woke up with a sore throat, no voice, and was sneezing and coughing up a storm. A true nasty cold. :-( Feeling a bit better today, but still taking both night-shifts off ... missed a swim workout yesterday (!) but still plan to go tomorrow morning ... |

Master 2042 Albany, NY | Subject: RE: June Battle of the Triathlon Sports Challenge So, I finally convinced hubby to go see the doc today. They are testing him for lyme disease but think he probably just has the flu. Wonderful. But he also complained to the doctor that his neck muscles hurt really bad. You know, from when he didn't move his position on the couch for 8 hours on Sunday? The doc offered to give him some muscle relaxers... He said no thanks, I'll just have my wife massage my neck for me. Is he freakin' kidding me???? I'm still struggling to "massage" my little physical therapy towel with my right wrist let alone his sick, flu germ covered neck! Grrrr!!!!! I may need to run away again today... That way I can avoid the germs and help out my running team. |
