Master 3888 Overland Park, KS | Subject: RE: KC Tri 5150 Jayhox - 2012-05-17 10:48 AM Reece --- Are you going to make it out to watch? My family can't make it, so I need you to replace my 7 year old yelling "HTFU!!!!!" to me. :-) Yes, I will be attending. I WILL take my VIP parking spot I paid for (actually one of my friends is picking me up and will be using the spot), I WILL be receiving my signed copy of Chrissie's new book and most importantly, I WILL be cheering on all of you (that I recognize) during the race. It sucks that I can't race but my condition is temporary and pales in comparison to what others have to face each and every day. I will live vicariously through YOUR successes Sunday. For those of you that live out of town, you can PM me and I'll PM my cell phone number to you. In the event you forget something, I would be happy to assist you if I can (extra tubes, nutrition, bike helmet whatever). It would be my pleasure! (as long as you let me call you princess of course ) |

I just got back from packet pickup. It was pretty busy when I got there but we made it out pretty quickly. Things were running smoothly. Not much to mention other than they don't have our race shirts in. They were writing down names and race numbers and saying we can pick them up on Saturday or Sunday. Maybe for those showing up at packet pickup tomorrow they will have them?? In terms of schwag, you get an orange drawstring backpack and a gatorade branded water bottle. Oh, and bag of popcorn.

Extreme Veteran 388 Overland Park, Kansas | Subject: RE: KC Tri 5150 I didn't ask about racking since I had a number on the rack that matched my bib number the last two years I have done this race with the same RD, he won't turn this race into a free-for-all.

Extreme Veteran 388 Overland Park, Kansas | Subject: RE: KC Tri 5150 FYI The sticker with your bib number goes on your bike not your helmet. They check for a matching bib/body mark number that matches the sticker on your bike when leaving transition after the race. |

For crying out loud, why have t-shirts from a race that you can't even train in! |

For crying out loud, why have t-shirts from a race that you can't even train in! I agree, I'm not going to complain that much, but it's just dumb. Even my local YMCA does not do cotton tshirts anymore. I just think it's awesome that they ran that contest for months and then, BAM. They went with white cotton, the cheapest option and the one most like to never get worn. |

How did you find that out? I asked at packet pickup, only because last year I put it on my helmet and had a of a time getting my bike out of transition after the race. In the post race survey last year I mentioned that they specifically should tell people at packet pick up or label part of the sticker with placement directions. Guess RD didn't read the survey? |

Extreme Veteran 388 Overland Park, Kansas | Subject: RE: KC Tri 5150 Maybe they will hand out the most voted for shirt at the finish line? They usually have some sort of swag other than a finisher metal at the finish line. I think they handed out towels the last two years? |
