Master 1686 Royersford, PA | Subject: RE: BMC Racing Team TDF Challenge Thread Hello Team! Been on the road in Omaha, Nebraska this week braving 100 degree temps all week, but I got my rides in each day and after a long day of traveling home and having my flight gates change, terminal change and then delayed for an hour (Love Chicago-Ohare airport), I needed to get a ride in tonight. Made it my cerimonial 21st stage and kept it to 40 min as I reached my goals for stages (21) and miles (525). So the next two days are gravy. SO lets finish off this challenge Team BMC. The finish line is in sight! Make those final few ride count and finish strong! Andy Edited by southwestmba 2012-07-20 11:24 PM |

Master 1883 San Antone, Texas | Subject: RE: BMC Racing Team TDF Challenge Thread Nice work Shelly and Andy! I got in Stage 12 for me today, just a quick spin to keep the muscles fresh for my race tomorrow. I'll finish it off tomorrow with an extra stage to get me to the finish line! Let's all finish strong and all make 100% by tomorrow! |

Tiffin, Ohio | Subject: RE: BMC Racing Team TDF Challenge Thread One day of racing left! Be sure to have your spreadsheets up to date by the end of Monday for final standings. Sorry kids - nothing over 100% of your goal counts - at least that has been Kat's rule in the past challenges. If she wants to change that.... Sky = 88.3% Garmin = 87.3% BMC = 86.3% Liquigas = 82.2% Europcar = 71.7% Omega = blank spreadsheet |

Unfortunately I will not make my goal ... you don't know how bad this grinds me. I got up this morning and the left leg was really sore, and black and blue - I guess some residual from Sunday's crash. Between Thursday and Friday evening rain, thunderstorms, lightning, etc and soreness from the leg there's no way I can make up the difference. I plan to ride some early morning and will go as long as I can. Maybe I can get the wife to meet me at the subdivision entrance and hand me a flute of champagne... I can cruise on home from there Be safe tomorrow and enjoy the ride!! |

Tiffin, Ohio | Subject: RE: BMC Racing Team TDF Challenge Thread The sprint to the finish line is on! Omega Pharma is challenging Sky for the lead! Be careful, or these teams might just launch Garmin to the finish line.
Omega Pharma = 95.8% Sky = 95.8% Garmin = 92.6% BMC = 87.7% Liquigas = 83.9% Europcar = 79.6% |

Sun came out and with hi humidity ... well lets just the last 15-20 minutes were borderline as to whether I would puke or not!!! And I didn't get the champagne either Anyway, I finished up at 98.5%. I am glad this challenge is over with ... I am ready to get back to normal training |

Subject: RE: BMC Racing Team TDF Challenge Thread Whew, glad I checked the team thread tonight before bed!!!!!!!! All caught up - no worries. My husband entertained me while I was on the trainer by playing Mario on the Wii. Nothing like a little grown up time . This was fun but I'm taking a little break from my bike for the rest of this week. And Dorm - way to tough it out for the team! Win or lose this team did a great job! |

Extreme Veteran 701 Raleigh, North Carolina | Subject: RE: BMC Racing Team TDF Challenge Thread Hey all ... just wanted to state what fun I/we had with the tdf challenge. It was really inspirational to check in the team, see where we were, see ones progress and logging their rides, et al. I must say I was completely ready to pack it in, and then I saw Andy's post with the pic of Big George. Mine and George's shoulder look very similar, but the moment I saw the pic I thought there's no way in hades' I'm quitting - I'm going to give it my all on Sunday morning. I still came up a bit short, but thanks Andy for the inspiration
