lastcall2003 - 2007-09-13 1:51 PMYou really are evil - he he he

We're just pacing ourselves so when the rest of you teams are burned out and tired we will take the lead!

Go Central Team!!!!

:-)

You have a point. I really wanted to go swimming this evening. But I'm exhausted! I decided to just come home and eat... and eat... and then eat some more.

Later on, after I consume a good 52,467 calories or so, I'll probably do some biking. (The bike may collapse under my weight by then, but....)

Hehe. I think we're both equally evil.

But I *am* feeling much better after my 52,467 calories. Unfortunately, the pool is now swamped with swim team kiddies and aqua-aerobics classes. So my swim will have to wait until tomrrow. But listen! Can you hear that? It's the bike - and it's calling my name.

The Challenge within the Challenge:

Since Donto is accepting up to 120% of our challenge goals, we can actually EXCEED our goals. (Thereby helping our team to VICTORY.)

So the Challenge within the Challenge is to not just meet your goals, but to exceed them!

Think about that, guys!

Well, only the EAST TEAM should think about it. The other teams should just go eat a few cookies, take a nappie, and so on.

Am I evil again? Well, I did have a few cookies. But only after I swam.

Let's show the East and the West, and the rest of the world what we are made of!

Are you calling LastCall a Twinky? (Or is it spelled Twinkie? Who knows. The last time I had one, I think I was 6.)

However, if we make it plural, the spelling issue is solved. So summing it all up:

CENTRAL TEAM = HOME OF THE TWINKIES!

Here you go, Last. Here's a whole box of Twinkies for ya. Enjoy 'em while sitting on the couch watching TV.

Now I'm the evil one again? Just yesterday, you called me "Grasshopper" to your own evilness.

Must have been your 44 degree bike ride. I think it gave you brain freeze.... Or did you sneak in some ice cream along side of your Twinkies? Ummm, Twinkies a la mode!

(As if I should talk. I went and watched part of a Tri this morning. No, I didn't participate. I watched. It was impressive. Lots of people going really fast.... But that still means I've done nothing towards this Challenge yet today.)

No, evil one!  I had real grown up food - just lots of it!  LOL  No twinkies for me - do they even make them anymore?

Yes, Grasshopper - you are the evil one in training - LOLOL

That's ok if you just watched the tri - I'm sure you are now very sleepy and ready for a nice long nap - don't let it worry you that I'm headed out for another ride - you really need the rest...............

Nope, we're not. Saling4 is west, and I'm east. But we have a common foe ---> The TWINKIE TEAM! Uh, I meant the Central Team. (insert evil cackle here)

BTW, I *did* work out today. Swam and biked, both!

Week 2 stats

September's totals:
Bike:9h 03m  - 91 Mi
Run:1.5 Mi
Swim:4h 05m 20s  - 10300 Yd
Strength:45m
Elliptical Training:1h 15m

Ok, so I need to set a new biking goal.  I really didn't anticipate getting the extra rides in, so let's see.

Need to think about it - I'll post a new goal a little later

This was the first Tri I ever saw in person. Yeah, I'm a newbie. We established that a long time ago.

I got there after the swim, but watched the bike and run. Was impressed by
a) the speed of everyone,
b) the expensive bikes,
c) the absolute lack of body fat on all the competitors.

And then this afternoon, I swam AND biked. (Light on the bike, but I had a good swim.) I am shooting for the 120%, you know.

Question about posting our stats:

Do we post just this one week's results? (Sept 10-16)

Or is it the cumulative results? (Sept 1-16)

Thanks!

Hm, I'm answering my own question. From Donto's Worksheet, it looks like we're submitting cumulative totals. So here are mine:

-----------------------------------
My September numbers:
Bike: 111.85 Mi
Swim: 14,650 Yd

-----------------------------------

That puts me at:
Bike: 60%
Swim: 61%

Woohoo. I'm slightly ahead of schedule.

Looks like LastCall has been motivating me. And we're not even teammates. LOL

My arms and legs are about to fall off. But it's worth it. GO EAST TEAM!

Ok Donto, I'm revising my goal for the bike from 9 hrs to 14 hrs.

Let's hope the weather holds here in Nebraska!

Yep, the Evil Twinkie Smack Talk has motivated me. I've already EXCEEDED my entire August swim total. And we still have two weeks more to go.

Did I mention that my arms are gonna fall off?

Actually, all the pool work is paying off. I felt pretty good in the pool today. (Now that I've said that, watch me sink to the bottom tomorrow. LOL)

Through the 17th:

September's totals:
Bike: 15h 17m 22s - 254.83 Mi
Run: 1h 00m - 7 Mi

I am REALLY liking this month as I am restricted form swimming (maybe a little too much).

My numbers will go down now as my wife had to head back to the States for 10 days and I am the sole provider for the three older kiddo's (6, 4.5 and 3 year olds) while she's gone.

Still, I am very on track (72%) complete!

If I am still able to get out a bit I will revise my goals soon.

Buck

not getting enough time in the pool !!!!

current totals are 7 028 m swimming that's only 35% of my 20 000 m target & 155 miles on the bike that's a little better at 62% of my target of 250.

still plenty of time yet though, start nice and steady and finish fast, didn't any of your read the tortoise and the hare at school, everyone knows that's teh way to do it!
