Extreme Veteran 393 Columbia, South Carolina | Subject: RE: Creepy Crawlies Team Thread The Creeps keep rackin up those miles!! Great job! I completed 3.57 miles of a walk/run combo this morning - was mostly ok. So! I'm still in, but reducing my goal to 50 miles, which may include more walking than running but I'm gonna do it! |

Champion 8903 | Subject: RE: Creepy Crawlies Team Thread PT Cruzer and I logged 17.5 miles this week, putting us at 57.5 miles through Sunday, and at 77% of our goal. And that doesn't include a 2.5 miler that we did this morning, so we should hit our goal by the end of the month with no problem! Go CREEPS!

Champion 7554 Albuquerque, New Mexico | Subject: RE: Creepy Crawlies Team Thread 'K creeps... Here's the lowdown for week 3. Sally is blazing away at a whopping 96% of her goal completed already. Keith has surged into second place with 87% done. Heather is at 82% while Pattie and Taylor clocked in at 81%. Max and Jennifer have an even 80% (I'm sure Patti has 80% too, but hadn't logged her run this morning when I checked, so she's listed at 77%. No worries, she'll be done by the end of the month.) Laura revised her goal from 60 miles to 50 due to the knee problems (highlighted in the spreadsheet). She had a nice, warm, 5K this past weekend. Rock-on! Ty's mourning the loss of his beloved running buddy (Murphy) who was adopted out to another family. He's sitting at 60%, but it's nothing a few runs won't remedy. Susan has kicked it up a notch to bring her total to 54%. She's had nice week and expects to log 10 miles a week, which should bring her in right on target for the end of the month. Time to hit the inspires Creeps! We can still hit 100% for the team. Attachments ---------------- Creepy_Crawlies_Tracking_Sheet_3.xls (25KB - 29 downloads) |

COURT JESTER 12230 ROCKFORD, IL | Subject: RE: Creepy Crawlies Team Thread Hey there Creepsters, Must have done something to my right leg during because there is a tender spot on the high shin, just before it becomes a knee. It feels like a bone bruise but really have no clue. Will be working on more running, just taking it easy. Am 66.67% done with my 420 minute commitment. P.S. Got a call last night from Melissa from the Big Dog Rescue and the family is returning Murphy. He was humping blankets and pillows and that resulted in him peeing on the floor. Guess the family is taking the easy route by returning him instead of simply taking away the blankets and pillows. Oh well, guess that family wasn’t the right one for him.
Did tell Melissa last night that we forgot about that since we haven’t let him have a blanket or pillow in about three years. He did the humping/peeing thing when we adopted him, took those things away, and he’s been great.
So we get to go through another adoption at some point. Oh good. And Christian got to say goodbye on Sunday and gets to welcome Murphy back home tonight.

COURT JESTER 12230 ROCKFORD, IL | Subject: RE: Creepy Crawlies Team Thread Dear Team Captain McFuzz(y), Is there an opt out clause in this challenge due to injury? Just walked/jogged across a busy road to go get General Tao's Chicken for lunch (YUMMY) and that right leg hurt. Or is there a clause that says there is a 2:1 ratio for converting trainer ride time to applicable run time? Ty |

Ty Hello puppy, We have lost a few challenge participants due to injury but you do have options with an injury (i dont want you seriously doing damage due to something that cant be planned for) The options are: walking or the elliptical, resign from the challenge or reduce your goal - just let me know what you want to do and that its due to injury and all is good Take care, I hope that leg feels better! Regular 76 So. Cal. | Subject: RE: Creepy Crawlies Team Thread I was planning on having my goal met by Sunday but living in OC, the fires are putting a crimp in my plans. I'll reach my goal but looks like the last 30 miles will be done on a treadmill due to very poor air quality. Driving into work along my normal run route I could see all the flames and was pretty sureal. Note: Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining about dealing with a little smoke or bad air quality. My family is safe and all things considered, I am pretty lucky that the only thing I am dealing with is having to put miles in on a treadmill, this is impacting a lot of other people in a lot more serious way. |

Champion 26509 Sydney | Subject: RE: Creepy Crawlies Team Thread Hi, Im just writing a note here to get feedback regarding those people affected by the fires in California as Mother Nature is an unforeseen circumstance that we could not have planned for with this challenge. They way I see it there are 3 groups: I have some ideas on how we can address this but the key suggestions are: Those affected by smoke can use the gym or elliptical or treadmill to meet their goal OR if you do not have access to these facilities the above will apply. Please let me know via PM or in the team leaders thread anyone affected and what you want to do ASAP as the end of October is almost upon us. Please stay safe |

Expert 2189 Dodge County, MN (out in the corn) | Subject: RE: Creepy Crawlies Team Thread Wow, Kelly! Scary stuff going on out there in CA. What was it Jimmy Buffett said about CA?... "riots, fires and mudslides." Guess the boring Midwest is OK sometimes. Last night I did a 5k run at my DH's work. It was a predict-your-time run. I predicted 31:00 and finished in 30:10. Pretty close. I think I went out a little hard on the first mile, which made the second mile kind of tough. I always do that. Anyway, I have another one on Saturday. Run well, Creeps!

Extreme Veteran 393 Columbia, South Carolina | Subject: RE: Creepy Crawlies Team Thread Hi Creeps! I managed 4 miles this morning, so I'm now at 42.56 miles. The 10K on Sunday and (hopefully, if the 10K doesn't totally trash my knee) a 2-mile walk or run next Tuesday will put me just over my revised 50-mile goal. Yay! Keep up the great work everyone! Glad to hear you're safe, Kelly - I have family out there that also just barely dodged the fires - very scary stuff indeed. |

Cat Hey Cat, The leg is not cooperating. Even tender on a fast walk. So given the options you listed, I would like to revise my goal from 420 to 140 minutes. So with the 280 minutes I've logged so far that puts my at 200% of the revised goal. Or just drop my goal to 280 minutes and list me at 100% complete. Or just remove me from this challenge due to injury. (no time to get to a gym and a treadmill). Ty |
