Do not resort to wearing bra's, this is my nagging advice. LMAO LMAO - all the pros are wearing them arent they? What mansierres, bros? Manziere - a bra created for older men who have excess flab in the upper chest area and give the appearance of having breasts (from the Jerry Seinfeld dictionary - did you know there actually is one??) ummmm, can't think of any twisnibbins that qualify for this - LOL At least none that would ever admit it. LOL - us ladies can be the judge of that - after all, we have seen pics! |

Almost 7 1/2 years I've worked in this place and today was the first day I had ever been in the pool. Gonna try again later this week. By the end I could actually swim 25 yards without stopping. It took a while for the anxiety to die down. Yaaaaaay! WTG Heather! |

I'm not really sure - I wear a custom ear plug in my right ear because of the tube, and hardly ever have trouble with the left ear I've felt like I've been fighting something for the past few weeks, so I think it's maybe just that it finally caught up with me and attacked me in my vulnerable spot - in my case, happens to be my ears I had tons of EI growing up |

Nice long weekend indeed, I kicked the BT habit until now! Hector, great job on the tri, way to go. I didn't read all the notes but I hope everyone had a good weekend & holiday (if applicable). Here' a pix of my son setting his 5k PR at the turkey trot with a 34:09, he came in 2nd place in the 10 & under AG! He already said he wants to do a 30 minutes for the next 5k run in Jan of Feb. So I have to become a coach now, not just Dad! BTW, his goal for this one was 11 min miles and we nailed it doing 5 min running and 1:30 walks. Now I've really become lard over the weekend and need to get my cardio going again. I have rock hard abs but can't see 'em !
Great Pic!!! I know how you feel about becoming a lard - I truly think Dee's spell must have worked - LOL |

We always have lots and lots of leftovers. Even when I think I have cut down on the amount of food, once I put it out I realize that I overplanned once again. Thanks! Im a sucker for wanting to make sure everyone has what they want too... so its like "Im making 3 desserts but if you just must have x at christmas time we better have that too..." Its also a really good excuse for me to try new recipes... which I LOVE to do Im sure there will be a few disasters but Ive just realised (given its going to be summer) I can do some of the meat a day early and serve it cold! I definitely want to come visit! I bet even the 'disasters' will be delicious |

Champion 6107 Out running or enjoying a fine glass of red... | Subject: RE: They Who Shall Not Be Named (Twisnibbins) V Need some Nibs advice...(no, not wine or ice cream, and no, I'm not having a wardrobe dilemma) - I need to get my Spring races picked & registered and I'm terribly torn and stressed about it. (Yeah, I know - the girl needs a new life if picking races stresses her out)... Anyway, I want to do 2 races this spring and my choices are 3/15 Half-Mary; about 1.5 hours away 3/29 Sprint (300 pool/10m/5K); about 1.5 hours away 4/5 10K; hometown 4/13 Sprint (300 pool/25K/5K); about 2.5 hours away 4/20 Sprint (750 lake/20K/5K); about 1 hour away So here's what I'm thinking ... I've never done a half-mary, so that's appealing - especially since I have been upping my run distance. The March 29 sprint is the first race I did, and I'd kinda like to "return to the scene of the crime" and see how improved I am. The 10K is a huge deal in my town...like ginormous...like everyone in town runs it. The April 13 sprint is not really on my radar screen, so I should probably just dispense, but it has a longer bike which would be a nice test. The April 20 sprint would be awesome, because it is a longer, OWS - but it's April people, and last year the water was so cold they offered a du option instead. Starting in early June, there are other races that are reruns of what I did last year and in my hometown (in fact, right across the street from my house). WWND??? (And heya, Judi - are you thinking of any of these?) Kristen |

You can start small... if you have access to a kickboard just do the basic kicking and lifting your head in and out of the water to get used to it... Its a really gentle way to adjust to swimming... |

I think part of my problem is I ate at The Blonde's most of the weekend, and she's low carb, and I quit eating like a junkyard dawg and was actually eating 'good stuff'. But my body is fueled by nutritional and I need to go to Carl Jr's RIGHT NOW and get some crap. I needs my carbs and glycogen! I don't see how Popeye did it on Spinach, man. I need grease and simple sugars. I've got my six pack of Gu. I'm trying to figure out HTF to carry it without a race belt (I really hate the feeling of the belt attached to my waist. I'm thinking of duct taping them to my inside shirt, and ripping them off as I go along... or maybe duct taped to my race number belt. I could carry them in my Nike arm wallet, but I'm wondering whether I'll take my wallet or not... right now I'm thinking two layers with the temp being at freezing at start... a SS wicking shirt under a long sleeve one that unzips. I'm not going to wear anything tight, that just keeps the sweat stuck to my skin and makes me COLD and feeling constricted. Y'all have NO idea how flucking freaked I am right now. Something tells me your going to figure it all out and kick butt on this run. Besides it's you were talking about. What you need is another motivational pic. LOL oh Girls LMAO - Dee - Hector beat you to the punch - although he didn't make any specific promises ;-) |

(And heya, Judi - are you thinking of any of these?) Kristen Ok... I LOVE the idea of you doing a half mary if you want to do one for the first time... you have enough time to train between now and then and it would give you a fantastic aerobic base for the seaon... This would affect the March 29 sprint - but if you kept up some riding and swimming through the half mara training you could do it... but you would not be able to train much between the half mary and the race as it would be MUCH MORE important to recover from the half that train during this time... The 10k sounds like fun - and if you were doing it for FUN then the half marathon training should carry you through but i wouldnt try to be competitive in it Drop the 13 April Sprint since its nothing yuo really seem overly interested in The 20 April Sprint - well what are you like swimming in cold water? Do you own a wetsuit? I dont think I helped any did I? |
