Good luck on the race this weekend. Would it be wrong if I brought it with me at the race? Actually it just sits on a sofa table in our living room. I think finishing an Ironman would be a bigger achievement though. If I had an Emmy, I'd take it everywhere. Group Rides, Burger King, the Barber Shop...if anyone ever gives you a hard time about anything just pull out the Emmy and ask if there's a smudge on it. I'd also have to disagree with you on whats a bigger achievement; an Emmy is a big deal and you have to work for it. You're putting in hours working for someone else and alot of times doing things you don't enjoy. Such as working late when you have prior commitments. The path of Ironman is tough but purely optional and enjoying; the training is tough but hopefully you are doing it because you enjoy the sport and competition. If its one pet peeve I have about this sport is when people refer to triathlon training as a sacrifice, work, or unenjoyable... I (and I'm sure everyone here ) do this because I enjoy the training maybe more than the racing. Anyway I'll get off my soapbox before you ask me if there's a smudge on your Emmy. |
