Hello Amy - how is Utah and yourself today?

I think it's going to be a good day. The morning (so far) went MUCH better than yesterday.

WOOHOO!!!

No kiddin'. My afternoon did get better yesterday--I found the fabric I've been scouring every fabric shop in the metro SLC area for, then the kids were decent when we got home from school, my son did some homework without a blowout fight, hubby came home and mowed the lawn before dark, we grilled burgers...I slept like a rock last night, too. Guess I was kinda tired.

kns57 - 2010-05-20 10:34 AM Bill, I wish I was doing a bike tour this year.  I'm going to have to work on one for next year.  Of course, i like the tours where they haul my stuff and I just ride between the B&B's and enjoy the great scenery and food.  Little different from yours.

Howdy Kendra

I planted the seed to my wife last night about doing the Tour Divide Race in 2012.

Just a hint here and there for the next year or so then the full fledged commitment from her - LOL

Less than half finished it last time!

I would LOVE to do something like that. My problem is taking that much time off of work. Someday though.

Work will always be there Ann(e)

I know work will be. It's my dwindling savings account that prevents me from doing it.

Understandable - but you can't take it with you when you go

That is all I have - LOL

I know. I'm not obsessed with having a huge bank account as my husband is, but I do need to make sure I have money for emergencies. I also tend to buy inexpensive cars I can write a check out for. I don't like car payments.

Not getting paid for a month or more, I'd have to make sure I have money saved to cover me from the loss of pay. The kids are funny about wanting to eat all the time, and they will not stop growing for some reason either.

Here is my secret!

I just keep the tax refund around for my pay

I figured next years will go to a home improvement project

Then 2012 will be mine - LOL

NO GO! Our tax refund goes into the bank to pay for the spring and fall taxes.

Bummer!

Yep.

Now we're waiting for the estimate for how much we will have to pay out of pocket for our son to get braces and how much insurance will pay.

On a bright note - the contract that I am waiting for is supposed to be awarded on Monday, so hopefully that works out and I can get out of here. If that doesn't work then there is another company here that wants me for a different job than I'm doing now. I still want to get out of here, but I wouldn't be working for the woman who is mean to me all of the time, and I'd get my benefits back, which would be nice.

SOMETHING IS GOING TO WORK OUT FOR ME!!!!

In our school district 4th grade is the last year of elementary and in 5th grade you move to the middle school. The PTO puts on a huge picnic for the 4th graders, it's an all day event full of games, food, and fun.

I just got my assignment. I am working at the Castle Bounce House that day!

The last day of school is just around the corner, June 2nd here. I am so excited for the picnic!!!

Current water temp for Black Bear is 62 degrees. Maybe a bum hamstring was a blessing for me and my sleeveless wetsuit.

Enjoy Ann(e)

My son says we are not allowed at school because he is too cool now (5th grade - still elementary here).  His buddies love me though so I pop in on him 1 or 2 x a year.

Ours are not out until June 18th or something like that

He will still be seen with me in public, his dad is a different story though.

I don't try to embarass him, he is very sensitive. My husband still wants hugs in public, he is too old for that in front of his friends.

kcarroll - 2010-05-19 6:50 PM Hi gang.  It was busy today so just checking in.  Sounds like Ann & Amy are heading towards Toms.  Bill is having pizza and I will need to go back and actually read the last 5 pages to really catch up.  But first I am heading to the Y.  I have a swim lesson tonight.  It's tough for me to workout later in the evening since I'm always up early.  But, it's the only time she teaches.  Will pop back in after class.

Hi Kim

Helping Tom shower was a rough job, but Amy and I were up for the task.

Hope you had a good swim.

The two of you did an admirable job. Best teamwork I've ever seen!

BTW, hello Ghoulies Busy and short day here, but I'll try to at least get caught up throughout the morning...

My son is cool with me doing stuff - we kiss in public and I can call him Jakie but not his mom

That is off limits

Wait... so you can't kiss his mom or his mom can't kiss him?

My son will still hold my hand if we are out and about. I don't think that will last much longer though.

OK guys, I can't stay too much longer but I hope you're all having a great day. I'm cautiously optimistic that I will have a moderately productive afternoon. At least I have to be out and about the rest of the day - the weather is perfect right now! Hopefully I can squeeze in a workout later...

I am allowed to do both - because I am cool and she is not - LOL
