kns57 - 2007-12-28 9:40 PM Okay, my hubby just walked in and gave me a pair of motorcycle gloves. What does this mean? I'm scared.
Uh oh. Wrong kind of bike gloves.

LOL! Indeed...

Did he buy himself a new toy?

My friend's hubby bought himself a Harley against her wishes but tried to butter her up by giving her a sassy helmet when he brought it home. She put the total amount he spent on a piece of paper and said he owed her that much money. Then every time she bought something frivilous and just for her, she would subtract it from the total. That motorcycle didn't last too long .

Oh thats quite cool... you could by a great bike with the aount for a motorcycle and still have money for a wetsuit and accessories and everything!

I would have a LOT of fun with that!

Howdy hi, Nibbs...

1.  I got to see Scott's legs in not one but two threads this morning.
2.  Pam... congrats on signing up for Mooseman!
3.  Way to put out the fires from home, Sal.
4.  Dee... hope you are feeling better .
5.  Toooooo cute about the first date/lunch date, Beth!

OK, that's really as far as I got with playing catch up.  Did I miss any breaking news?

Hi Mila -

I think that about covers it

things have been a little slow in Nibbinsville with the travel and holidays and all -

I'm still trying to decide what my goal should be for the Jan challenge - it needs to be running (although I'd rather swim)

So...why does it NEED to be running...is that cuz you want to be in a 'chatty' group?

LOL - noooooo, smarty pants

I NEED it to be running cuz that is my weakest area and it needs the most work

I've expanded my search to "party".  This has opened up some hip hop possibilitie... it's always a nice break from my steady stream of alternative music .  I like to keep 'em guessing what's coming next.

It would have to be a matter of life or death to go to the dr now with less than a week left in the year (unless you already met the deductable).

milaminute - 2007-12-28 7:58 PM Dating now is so different... it really isn't dating... it's more like "Hi, thanks for visiting my MySpace page.  I am going to be at XYZ tonight with my posse.  Come hang out if you're hot".  Then, it's the digit exchange and the text messages and group date scene... at least that's my old lady interpretation of it.

You're actually not that far off!

but when you're in 7th grade, you have to rely on your mom to get you places -

the whole 'dating' scene seems to have less pressure overall these days - especially when it comes to dances - lots of the kids just go in big groups, or ask friends, it's kind of nice

Good. Maybe when my 9 year old starts dating they won't even talk to each other. I have noticed that a lot of the teens do like the group date thing. Sounds better than getting stuck with some sleeze for an evening.

hehe well we used to do it... it was funny.... because all your friends would tell all his friends that you liked him and they would tell you that he liked you so you would go to a movie or something and sit next to each other with all your friends and usually be too scared to even talk to each other...  (I know I set up a few of my friends like this...  Ishould be thankful they still talk to me!)

Seriously you could be considered 'dating' and never actually spend anytime together when I was in high school... at least between about 11/12 and 14ish.. then dating kind of kicked in for real...

That's kind of what my 9 year old is going through now. He has a "girlfriend". She gives her friends messages to tell him and he does the same to his friends. They have "gone out" one on one to Baskin Robbins last summer before school was out. It was really cute. They traded Pokemon cards.

that's sweet!

Sadly, I have met the deductible....

But I really think it's just a bad cold. They don't "do" anything for colds. (It's a virus. Antibiotics won't work on them.)

I started with classic "cold symptoms" on Wed - scratchy throat, etc. Yesterday, it arrived at the sinuses. Today, it's affecting the chest and ears.

If it continues to affect the chest and ears, then yes, I'll go. I really don't want a secondary infection, like bronchitis or an ear infection....

I hate being sick. I'm not a good patient. I'm cranky. (Crankier.) I'm miserable. (Miserabler.) Etc.

I'm using tissues like there's no tomorrow, too.... And I sound like a flock of sick geese!

:P

Sadly, I have met the deductible.... But I really think it's just a bad cold. They don't "do" anything for colds. (It's a virus. Antibiotics won't work on them.) I started with classic "cold symptoms" on Wed - scratchy throat, etc. :P

LOL - niiiiiiiiiiice

mine was just in my chest, had the barky cough thing going on - still do - it's hanging on - glad I missed out on the stuffy head though!
