My computer is acting up so I can't change pages or go up or down or .... I guess my mouse is dying. It being Italian and all it will be dramatic. I need to get my new computer up and running but I am such a wuss that I have no earthly idea of how to transfer all my data and settings etc to the new one. Looks like there is a bunch of young ghoulies that are being raised right out there. I cannot wait to see the first-ever-5-k race report. How exciting. Uh... Stacie, Queen... you better get the strength going girl.. You are the QUEEN you know, you have responsibilities. You are being disdained!!!! The Quintuplets were amazing. All with really distinctive personalities and their parents were (are) so calm and cool and patient. However, If I felt like it would be best to have my ovaries removed, just in case that could happen to me. AAAGGGGHHH. We saw them for 1 and 1/2 hour and OMG. There is indeed a perpetual motion machine and it is 5 18 month olds. gonna run in my new shoes today!!!!!! TGIF all. Good morning Robin. Questions for you. What is the operating system on your old computer? AND What is the operating system on your new computer? How much data do you think you have to transfer? A couple hundred MB's or a couple of GB's? It depends on how much you have to transfer as to the method in which it is easiest to do so. Did that make sense? It Lookie IT Computer lingo talk - run Bill run I'm sorry Bill. I realize this is no place for rational and adult conversation. In fact I would like to apologize to the entire Ghoulie Village for thinking clearly for a few seconds and trying to be a helpful adult. I will try to keep it from happening again. I will stick to the annuendo's from here on out. K? Good. |

Sometimes I have to use the keyboard, sometimes the tab key only and some times the mouse to navigate. I have Windows. Probably XP . this is an old old old state computer (as far as that goes). It would be GB worth. What I really fear is losing all my e-mail and bookmarks. I have two programs that I usel Mozilla firebird for personall (and stored old work e-mails) and outlook for new work e-mails and such. firefox is the web browzer. Robin... Without the Ghoulie Village looking -> Click on Start, Click on Run, and type winver then hit enter. That will bring up a small window to tell you what version of Windows you are running. I'm assuming you download your emails to your local machine. I can talk you through how to save all of your stuff so you don't lose any of it. |

They are the calmest parents I have ever met - somehow I think you just realize that life is not worth it and you calm down - maybe I need some triplets thrown into my life to tone me down some - Anyone interested?? LOL Treat those new shoes good! Um... I can't guarantee triplets... but if you just want to practice... |

You can start backing up your data from the old computer to CD's. You can only put about 700MB of data on a CD, so depending on how much data you have this could take several CD's. I'm not sure what your home network is like, but if you have both computers connected to the network at the same time, you may be able to just copy data from one computer to the other. |

The ones the State provides they have so locked up you can't even get security updates. You can't view such things as google earth or download many types of files. My job is oversight for hazardous waste sites. Guess what? MOST of it is done via computer. So, personnal computer it is. However the one that is dying is my old state computer that I "acccidentially" got administrative control of. This is annoying. To refresh I have to minimize, maximize then read.
