VERY cool about the upcoming employment! Just bragging, but I can wear my tri suit to work if I want to. No one sees me. Well except the daily UPS and Fed X guys and they are so terrified of the dog they wouldn't know what I had on.

LOL     What kind of dog would be that scary?

This one

She is the OPPOSITE of scary!

What breed is she?

You should see her with hackles up and full teeth bared. She HATES the UPS guy. She took out a window pane trying to get at him. All I can say is that it is really really good that they wear brown.
She is a King Shepherd. rare breed from German shepherds, Huskies and Great Pyrenees.

She is my Personal Trainer Puppy.

I LOVE SHEPHERDS!

The best dogs I have ever had have been German Shepherds

I think my next dog will be a Shiloh Shepherd. I want something big. Something that strikes fear into the hearts of strangers.

The King Shepherd and the Shiloh Shepherd are really very close. The breeds started from the same roots not too long ago. I was going to go with Shiloh but this little girl came available first.

How big is she?

I was just reading about them and the King Shepherd does get pretty big, too.

I have friends with German Shepherds, beautiful ones, I'm part of the pack they are always in some sort of training class. They met a lady with a Shiloh and got a list of breeders for me.

She is a large dog but she only weighs about 75 pounds. She is small as far as the breed standard goes. That photo was when she was about a year old. She is 5 years but is still the same size.

ceilidh - 2010-04-08 7:58 AM They have the annual Krispy Kreme donut run in Raleigh each year. I was there the day after walking to my meeting. Just let me say

EEEEEEEEEEWWWWW!!!

Ghoulies

I have a confession

I have never had a Krispy Kreme donut

I have on several occasions had people tell me they were going to take me to the store and get me a fresh warm donut

It has never happened

And I'm not losing sleep over it

I'm not really a fan of donuts to begin with

Unless they have chocolate and maybe some sprinkles on them

That is all

theres a Krispy Kreme w/in a close proximity of your hotel when you come to stay in PGH.

we can fix this....if you wanna.

they have chocolate ones w sprinkles on them.

stacieb

I do have a hard time resisting the sprinkles. Do you hear that Ghoulie guys?

wait theres a GHOULIE GUY WITH SPRINKLES ON TOP of him.

when were all together, point him out to me k?

i betcha its TOM!

stacieb

Not at the moment, but that can definitely be arranged.

what is the head count for AZ?

If we could get this place for the weekend it and split it, it would cost us less than most hotels in the area.

yes, I am looking at huge beautiful houses. I'm just thinking that if enough people split it, it should be doable.

Ann(e) sounds like we are twins that married twins - LOL

I am the biggest jerk and most selfish person in the world but I would do anything at the drop of a dime for about 99.9% of the worlds population.

Care to explain that to me???????  Because I am really F'ing interested in knowing how that can be!!

Bill - I wish I had that answer myself.

i think its because people want to see what they want to see....believe what they want to believe....whether it true or not (and in most cases not) so they can avoid taking responsibility for their own sh^tastic lives.

at least thats my working theory.

I will not elaborate on this, but I will agree entirely. What's that called Stacie? Isn't it transferrence or something like that?

X2.  Plus, I'm also on an old mentor thread that stays pretty busy. I have no doubt I'll be posting in the wrong threads, once I get unbusy enough to do much posting. I've more or less given up on keeping up with the challenge thread Bill, but I am tracking my workouts and will hit my goals.

Oh, and good morning Ghoulies.

Hey Kim! Don't sweat being busy. I'm sure someone will post a summary on occasion to help you out. We'll just look forward to seeing you when we see you! Have a Happy Thursday.

Considering the race is on my son's 13th birthday I'm actually pretty doubtful I'll be able to do it. Not giving a solid "No" but it's doubtful.

Just food for thought, what would you guys think about a San Diego Half Mary/Mary the following weekend (the same race I did this year)?

Well... I've never been to San Diego, and I like to visit new places, and if it means I get to see Ghoulie Tom, I'm in.

I don't care where I run, as long as I get to run, or sherpa, pretty much just get out of PA in the winter.

It will be right before my birthday though so someone will have to buy me a birthday drink in SD.

Look at that, I'm not hard to get along with at all!

The first one is just a couple miles from my office and is in a very scenic part of town, close to downtown SD and a bunch of other cool stuff. The second is MUCH more convenient to the race location though and is only about a 40 minute drive or so to downtown and everything else.

AWESOME! I have friends who've run it and they've loved it. I can see why you're inspired for this particular one. You will do great!

On a related note, I'm seriously considering this for my first marathon - maybe even next year if I'm employed...

I'm not far from DC. I know people who have run the MCM and say it is just AWESOME!

My sister and her family aren't far so I can crash there before and after. I'll be training for my half on Sept 5, the timing just felt right.

I signed up for 3 tri's, 3 and 3 hm's this year and never thought twice about it.

Signing up for a full marathon I'm sitting here now thinking "I hope I can do this." 26.2 miles is a bit intimidating.
