Speaking of reality checks, our 24 Hours of Booty team is forming, captained by my daughter's 11-year-old soccer teammate. We'd LOVE to have any of y'all join us - should be a blast for the kids and for the grown-ups. There's a campsite in the middle of the 2-3 mile loop I hear (though some of my teammates are heading for a hotel at bedtime), food & entertainment provided. There's no minimum number of laps / hours you have to ride - think the main thing is to just be there (that and raise the $200 minimum per rider required). You can link to the site from my fund-raising page if you're interested - http://www.24hoursofbooty.org/goto/Marla.

I can't believe you people made me google what Cheerwine is.  Blame my New England roots for my ignorance!

I can't make the event but best of luck with it!  It looks like it should be a blast.

wmcgee62 - 2010-06-15 10:37 AM For me its definitely time for some consistent training. Everyone else must be busy training cause the forum isn't busy like it used to be. Seems like we had a big group but now less than half participates in the forum. Not that I expect everyone to participate all the time but I thought more would participate. I for one am thankful for this forum. Even though I dont participate every day it amazes me how a subject on my mind gets brought up with out me prompting it. I miss the inspires(hint hint) Sorry Ann its pick on you day.

It often happens that way. Lots of people start then they fall off for various reasons. No worries, there is always a core group that sticks with it. And life does have a way of cropping up and taking us away from training and BT at times.

How did you like the wetsuit?

This seems to be the way that most of these groups work.

Hey, I have a question - when this is over, do all the Ghoulie mentees become full-on ghoulies, like our triathlon idols?

Hey, don't knock it until you try it!

Actually, pole dancing is what I call vigorous cleaning of my apartment.  I fool myself into believing that it makes the process much more enjoyable in the end. ? ?

Besides, I think we've all learned that there is no such thing as TMI in this group! Cool

Good morning all!  I have my review for the year at work today.  Since I have a new boss who is convinced our last boss was easy on us, I am not looking forward to it.  Nothing like moving the measurement sticks after the year is over!

I'm sure I'll get my frustrations out in the pool tonight though, so that will be good.

Anyone else have something fun going on today?

Good Morning Everyone

I need to put out a Public Service Announcement. If you train for a triathlon you will get a muscular butt.  I just wanted to warn all of you out there that this could happen to you. I am not a doctor or anything but continue with this addiction and you might get even more muscular. Who knows what will happen with that. We keep this up and they will start a TRIATHLON ANONYMOUS. Hi I am Wes and I have not been training for a triathlon for at least 8 hours.   Ok truth is I took a day off from work so I can get a long bike ride in. Weekend is already so busy.   Company says we can have 4 health days. I believe riding bike can be construed as a health day.   Have a great day
