Hi you guys...

I am not getting email notifications...which apparently elicits the pavlovian "must surf BT" response that gets me over here.

PLUS, I just did all of the yard work that I skipped during Marathon training.  In two days.  My back hurts.  The house is almost all ready for winter, so I can get back to goofing off on here...

RR will be coming...as usual things didn't go as planned, but since this was a "fun" race, it didn't get our (hooters) panties in a bunch...

I think I got booted off of e-mails, too.  Allison, I didn't have a chance to do you justice a while back, but *thank you* for your very kind inspiring words (aw, shucks).  Now I have to live up to them!  Great race report, BTW.  Are you back on track for your HM?

Ryan, I really like Paige Elizabeth.  But really, all of your choices are beautiful.

Q, can't wait to hear about your latest outing as your alter ego, the Hooters waitress.

Yanti, this is waaay late, but glad you are OK thru the Tsunami.  I was thinking of you.

Operation Get my Poop in a Group continues apace.  I am actually doing a pretty good job of sticking to my diet so far, and i have lost about 8 pounds since starting.  I've done an OK job of exercise -- if you look at October, I worked out 1-2 times a week, which is better than not at all, but not where I need to be.  Last week I stubbed my pinky toe so badly that it turned all purple and even today, over a week later, it felt uncomfortable to put on my running shoes.  So I guess just cycling for me for the moment.

Waves to everyone else!  Will try to be here more.

Oh, Edited to add:  Must share the picture of hubster's costume for the Halloween Halfathon Half Marathon he ran on Sunday:

\Mike as Hulk

Wow, Q -- I am a little taken aback at how I can't stop staring at both you and your husband's amazing thighs! (insert embarrassed icon here).  Not many couples could pull off the Hooters waitress like you two.  Aren't the wigs HOT?

Thank you Dineen (x3).  I have been with my husband for 11 years and I can't stop looking at his thighs either.

Oh and Ryan.  *SMACK*  I should wear a wig though...running with my hair all free and wild like that makes it SO tangly...

Q. Seriously. Both of you--your thighs are PERFECT.

Those thighs would make it 3 syllables, and the middle one is really really long

I didn't realize it posted 3 times, but yes, the thighs are in fact that hot.  And OK (embarrassed here) I thought you were wearing a wig, too, Q.  Sorry!  So it's only your baby daddy who is overheating under a wig, then?

Don't worry about it Dineen.  I only figured out that she wasn't wearing a wig when I saw her in person and realized that no one would choose hair with that much gray in it.

Bwah ha, bwah ha ha ha--now that's a way to get in some speedwork! I pretty much think of everybody here as 23. I don't know why. It just seems that way. It makes having kids the age some of you do kinda weird, but ... yeah. You're 23, fo' sho.

23 sounds better than my 33

YaY, the weekend is hear.

I'm so excited I get to go running with my dad in the morning.  He just recently lost about 40lb and started walking.  He's just now working up to running a few minutes here and there.  It'll be really cool...we've never worked out together before.  And, I need need need the motivation.  My food choices have gone to crap and my exercise went with it.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Actually, it's awesome that dinabeanie thought you were wearing a wig--wigs are perfect hair!!!

Besides, at least from the pictures, it doesn't look like you have any grey at all. You just look like you have ash blonde hair.

If I had looked back at the ABQ pix I wouldn't have made that mistake.  Your hair is beautiful, Q, I am just not used to real people having thick blonde hair!

In our spin class today we used HR monitors to test for max HR and determine accurate ranges.  That was fun.  And hard.

Also, I bit the bullet and signed up for a half marathon at the end of Feb.  Now, I really need to get out there and run, run, run.  I announced it on FB, too, so there is no turning back.  I am committed or will face utter humiliation.   Now, if I could just get back into the pool...

You're braver than I Dineen.  I still haven't committed to the HM I want to do in 3 weeks.  I managed to run 4x this week already and yesterday I made it 4 miles with not even a twinge so that's good.  I'm trying a long run of 6.5 miles tomorrow and I'm telling myself that if it goes well I'll register as soon as I get home.  With my longest run so far being 8 miles, and that being 3 weeks ago, I won't be doing anything spectacular in the race.  I just want to do it so I know what the distance feels like and can pinpoint what I need to work on in training for a HIM.

Was it a lactate threshold test Dineen?  Those are brutal.  I need to do one for running but I'm a wuss.
