wgraves7582 - 2010-07-28 1:29 PM Well let's have some fun Melindy!

What are some issues/questions you have with Catholicism?

This is not meant to bash it - I am just curious - so if others are happy with it you can add in as well if you would like!

I feel this is ground breaking for us - Going on 1 year and now we are discussing religion.  Politics might be next - LOL

I prefer to talk about sex. I stay out of religous and political discussions.

Ah but in general, sex is a taboo topic as well

Yes, I know it is to some people. Of the 3 though, it is the one I am more comfortable talking about.

All my best friend and I discuss sometimes is sex, religion and politics. Haha. But we are generally on the same page on all 3...so it turns into a mutual endorsing session on how we both validate that we are "right". "I KNOW!!!" Haha.

I think it's pretty obvious that sex talk doesn't scare me. I don't really pay attention to politics. I prefer to keep my religious views to myself, but there are a few people I have discussed them with.

I keep a lot of opinions to myself, because in provincial south central PA most people think inside the box. It is their way or it is wrong. I don't see things that way.

I don't have a favorite move, song, or color. I think there are too many to pick from to say that any 1 is my favorite.

You should come up to Canada. We will make you feel at home: we don't like our own politics anyways...we only watch yours. Religion: We are chill, we are all Canadian regardless. And sex....sex is synonomous with Canada...what do you guys think we do in our igloos when it is -40C outside?

Can I build an igloo in Saskatchawan??!!??!!

YES! Haha. Igloo on the prairie. We could make it an international tv hit.

That is hands down the funniest thing I've read today!!!

That's because I am funny...and on a role...I can picture the opening credits right now.

You in a parka...running into the snow...with huskies frolicking in behind you. You crawling into the igloo...drawing back your parka hood that is trimmed in fur...snow falling romantically off the fur onto your hair..glistening in the light of the fire....

You should go with this idea. Write up the story line. Then when you're in CA you can pitch it to the TV people!

I need to find a man with a deep sexy voice who can narrate the opening lines...and a sassy opening music reel...

hrmmm...

I have been accused of having a Barry White voice - just saying!

Are you applying for the job?

I will apply! I'm going to be unemployed in a few days, after all...

Hello Ghoulies.

Monday night which was supposed to be an awesome evening with dancing and then strength training turned into the evening from heck.

First off, we had horrible storms (lightning, thunder, wind, rain) which cause horendous traffic.  It took me twice as long to get to dance than normal.  Several firetrucks and ambulances were seen along the way.

So, I get to dance and that all goes okay, except that I was late due to the traffic.

Leave dance and head to the gym.  Again really bad traffic.  Hubby calls the gym to let our trainer know we are on the way, but two firetrucks have passed us going in the direction that we are going, so who knows what is awaiting us down the road.  As I pull into the gym parking lot (only 10 minutes late) I get a call from the trainer wanting to know where I was.  "Didn't you get the message?  My husband called and talked to James and ask him to tell you we would be late."  "Oh, I got that message but didn't know what it was for."  "We are in the parking lot and will be right in."

So, this is our first time with this trainer.  We had decided that since we drive by this gym every other Monday night on our way home from dance, we should just stop there and get in a workout.

This trainer wants to put us through an accessment to see where we stand.  Totally understandable.  About 25 minutes into it, next thing I know my hubby is lying on the floor saying it is hard to breathe.  Now he is known to be overly dramatic, so I never know when I should worry or not.  He lies on the floor for about 15 minutes and I can see he is breathing okay, but he is light headed.  So the trainer gets him up into a chair.  Bad move...

Next thing I know, his eyes roll up into his head and he has passed out.  Oh my god.  The trainer runs off to get help.  I'm there trying to keep Frank from falling out of the chair and banging his head on the counter behind him.  He is non responsive to anything I do.  I can't believe I did this but I slapped him and told him to "not leave me.  Come back to me."  I was scared.

The trainer came back with his supervisor, and about that time, hubby came to.  Another member of the gym came up to help who is a nurse.  We determined that he did not need to go to the hospital at that time, but we would follow up with the doctor the next day.

Turns out that he is on a blood pressure medicine with HCT, and that changes in elevation can cause problems.  The exercise we had just finished was taking his head from floor level to standing repetatively.  We won't be doing that exercise again, that is for sure.

Anyway, I'm glad he is okay, but I can tell you MY MONDAY NIGHT SUCKED!!!

Holy crap Kendra!!!!  I am glad he is ok.

Oh boy. My hubby wants to do a tri on August 7th. He's not a great swimmer, hasn't been exercising, and has a bad back. But he is only in his 30's, so that' sone less thing to worry about.

Frank did the "My First Tri" with me back in 2007.  It was a great Tri as on the swim you swam along the shoreline, so if it made you nervous you could swim close to shore and put your feet down.  There I was swimming along and I look to my left and see hubby walking faster than i was swimming.  I yelled at him that he could not walk faster than i was swimming.

Funny thing was, 3 months later, I'm at another tri, waiting around for it to start and two women are talking about the Lake Lanier Tri where some lady yelled at her husband that he couldn't walk the swim faster than she was swimming it.  Hubby and I quickly had to walk away cause we just started laughing really hard.  We were infamous.

Anyway, Amy, I told you that story, because Hubby could not even swim the length of the pool, let alone a 400 meter OWS.  He survived.  So, I guess it depends on the event as to whether or not it would be safe for him.
