Moving on I'm eating a muffin for breakfast...yum yum yum? I haven't had a muffin in a VERY long time. I am going to have to find a bakery this weekend. So let me tell you about my bakery visit last weekend. I'd run 12 and done the whole post long run routine....recovery drink, stretch, shower, squeeze into zoots etc. I fell asleep on the sofa and when I woke up I was STARVING. And I wanted cupcakes. Nothing but a cupcake was going to make me happy. Before the nap I had thrown a loose fitting sundress on over the zoots. No way I was taking the tights off, so there I go to Swiss Chalet. Brown sundress, Black zoot compression tights, and flip flops. There were a few stares. Oh, and I had 2 red velvets with cream cheese frosting. That is just flat out SEXY!!!!! I think it's a look you'll see more of, now that I've set the fashion pace. BTW, how are your issues this morning? Anything I can help with? Any time ![]() You didn't mention any issues Bill.. |

Like Rockstar/Red Bull energy drinks? or other not so "serious" ones. Caffeine boost essentially. Nope sorry. No help. Red Bull only occasionally at the bar sometimes...haha The closest I've come is trying out FRS but there's no stimulants in it. Just a huge dose of some sort of anti-oxidant and a bunch of vitamins. I got some low cost samples and I will also add that one of their "flavors" tastes like vomit to me. |

Like Rockstar/Red Bull energy drinks? or other not so "serious" ones. Caffeine boost essentially. Nope. I have SVT (Super Ventricular Tachycardia) have to be careful with caffeine. I have been trying to "jump start" my metabolism, especially in the afternoons. With the thyroid meds, I was hoping to have more energy. I have a teeny tiny itty bit more, but still crash and burn and cannot for the life of me jump on the training wagon. Any activity I do I have to force myself to do it. Not to mention I used to do lots and lots and lots of stuff around the property and that is just way beyond my ability now. I HATE IT. So I was thinking of a "boost' in the afternoons to keep the crash and burn at bay, but don't want a red bull type of jolt. Just wondering if anybody used any that gave a pep without an overdose of caffeine. |

I would look at diet first but I understand the the meds it might be deeper than that. Maybe Melindy will chime in like she did last night? I'm going to agree with this. |

I have been paying pretty close attention to what I eat and drink for a while looking for clues to what is going on. One problem is if I eat/ drink more than about 1400 - 1600 calories a day, even with a decent training program, I gain weight and loose energy. I essentially have the metabolism of a turtle! |

Hi Robin, sorry I can't help much on the energy drinks. I am pretty intolerant of caffeine. Agree that a trip back to the doc for titration might be in order. I am registered for Carlsbad though. |
