Moving on

I'm eating a muffin for breakfast...yum yum yum?

I haven't had a muffin in a VERY long time. I am going to have to find a bakery this weekend.

So let me tell you about my bakery visit last weekend.  I'd run 12 and done the whole post long run routine....recovery drink, stretch, shower, squeeze into zoots etc.  I fell asleep on the sofa and when I woke up I was STARVING.  And I wanted cupcakes.  Nothing but a cupcake was going to make me happy.  Before the nap I had thrown a loose fitting sundress on over the zoots.  No way I was taking the tights off, so there I go to Swiss Chalet.  Brown sundress, Black zoot compression tights, and flip flops.  There were a few stares.  Oh, and I had 2 red velvets with cream cheese frosting.

That is just flat out SEXY!!!!!

I think it's a look you'll see more of, now that I've set the fashion pace.

BTW, how are your issues this morning?  Anything I can help with?

Any time

You didn't mention any issues Bill..

Nope sorry. No help. Red Bull only occasionally at the bar sometimes...haha

The closest I've come is trying out FRS but there's no stimulants in it.  Just a huge dose of some sort of anti-oxidant and a bunch of vitamins.  I got some low cost samples and I will also add that one of their "flavors" tastes like vomit to me.

Oh, the horror!  Since I've been cut off from buying anymore tri-gear, I have to get my fix through fancy nutritional stuff!

Nope. I have SVT (Super Ventricular Tachycardia) have to be careful with caffeine.

I have been trying to "jump start" my metabolism, especially in the afternoons. With the thyroid meds, I was hoping to have more energy. I have a teeny tiny itty bit more, but still crash and burn and cannot for the life of me jump on the training wagon. Any activity I do I have to force myself to do it. Not to mention I used to do lots and lots and lots of stuff around the property and that is just way beyond my ability now. I HATE IT. So I was thinking of a "boost' in the afternoons to keep the crash and burn at bay, but don't want a red bull type of jolt. Just wondering if anybody used any that gave a pep without an overdose of caffeine.

Bah - got to run.  The boss just showed up and is cranky (as usual - it's always something with her or her kids or her cat or her apartment or her...).  Have a great day all!

I don't know if something like FRS or 5 Hour Energy would help you with this or not. Maybe taking a B12 Complex could help, but I'm not sure.

The doc has me on B12 shots. I have to give them to myself! That, too will help over time but I need to get "alive" again soon or I am going to turn into jabba the hut just wallowing around getting bloppier and snoozing.

What is your caloric intake like for lunch and snacks?

I would look at diet first but I understand the the meds it might be deeper than that.

Maybe Melindy will chime in like she did last night?

I'm going to agree with this.

When do you go back to the Dr? Synthroid is a hard drug to dose...its sort of a trial and error process from what I have seen/heard...Maybe they dosed you too low in the attempt to keep you from flipping over to far on the hyperthyroid side?

Actually Bill, the diet it is pretty good. I have been paying pretty close attention to what I eat and drink for a while looking for clues to what is going on. One problem is if I eat/ drink more than about 1400 - 1600 calories a day, even with a decent training program, I gain weight and loose energy. I essentially have the metabolism of a turtle!

Because I buy the ads and they say it is not all sugar.  But I don't plan on doing it anytime soon.

I enjoy my sporadic Pepsi or Dr. Pepper

I must say I do not like either Pepsi or Dr. Pepper....just throwing it out there. I'm a gingerale/sprite type of pop drinker...haha

Hi Robin, sorry I can't help much on the energy drinks.  I am pretty intolerant of caffeine.  Agree that a trip back to the doc for titration might be in order.

I am registered for Carlsbad though.
