Someone remind me to never be alone in a room with you guys, espeically you Justin.

I'm still feeling like a giant p.ussy as it relates to the race today, but I set a meeting with my boss (also doing St. A's) on the Friday before the race to go pick up our packets together... so I know that I'll make it at least that far.

Thank you so very much for all the encouragement though.  Who knew I would have a panic attack when it got so close?  Lol.

DUDE, I am crushed!  Kelli is way more scary than I am... Orchestrator!  Us guys are just her pawns!  lol!
The Intimidator and The Orchestrator!  Super twins that have the power to make Tri-dudes their beeootches!!!   Don't get cocky...

I meant to point that out in Nicole's message yesterday....haha.  And, x2!

(a) You're so not crushed by this....I bet you're loving it   And I bet you love being a pawn!  Think of all the laughs you give us.
(b) Scary???!?!?!  I'm not scary!!  I'm the nicest, sweetest girl you'll ever know

I have received several random PM's about my avatar!  I was gonna change it to a race pic, but this seems to be more pleasing to the BT peeps.

I have four (4) miniature dachshunds... The avatar is a picture from the website of the parents to one of my dogs... Dutch (a Piebald - which looks a lot like a beagle),  we have a Black & Tan (Darla), and two Red's (Dixie & Dallas)... 2 males & 2 females!  Frickin' crazy I know!!!  But they are a lot of fun!  And DUDE, they are the best CHICK magnets at the park too! LOL!

Spring is *finally* arriving here!  And it's supposed to be gorgeous and sunny, and in the 70's this Saturday  You know what this means....I can ride my bike outside.  In sticking with my theme of not following instructions in my training plan this week, i think this weather calls for moving my long ride to Saturday.  I'm so excited!!!!!  I've also realized it's been about 6 months since by bike as seen the light of day (with the excpetion of the day I walked it to the LBS).  Time really does fly.  I could even do today's ride outside.  I'm a little embarassed to admit this, but I'm scared to start riding on the streets again. Embarassed  I totally knew this would happen again.  Once I get to the Park I'm totally fine and could ride for hours, it's just getting to and from the Park that makes me wanna #2 my pants a little.  I'm not afraid of falling...it sucks, but it's happened before and it'll happen about 100 times again.  I'm afraid of not unclipping in time, falling in the middle of the street(remember, there are crazy, impatient drivers here folks) and getting squashed by a cab.  I know after a couple times of getting back out there I'll be fine & I'll be whizzing around the streets like I own them, and we can all have a good laugh at what a big baby I'm being.  I'm thinking about starting my ride on Saturday at 6.30 when there won't be any pedestrains or hardly any traffic.

If you do happen to #2 your pants (on the bike), even a little... don't write about it!  lol! (former thread...)  You too may experience internet fame like no other...
I am glad you are able to ride outside again... There is a good chance that I would have given up on cycling if I had to wait 6 months before riding outside again.  I don't mind an occasional trainer...but 6 months of it!  ugh!  Don't be skeeeered!       Ride on ~ hard!

Happy FRIDAY!

Anyone got anything fun planned this weekend?

I am hoping to draft off of Eric (for a few seconds anyway) in the OWS tomorrow, if the dadgum weather doesn't totally take a huge dump on us!  I will fit something else in tomorrow afternoon (if the weather is crap ~ then trainer or treadmill)???

Working a second job Saturday night 10p-2a, so I am not sure what is instore for Sunday.  Most likely ~ if the weather breaks/clears... I will get in a moderate distance run (7-8 miles).

Have a great weekend Y'all!

I'll be in the water for moral support, might be hard to draft off that I sure hope the water isn't too cold, if it is I'll actually have to swim some to warmup!

Hahaha, yah, I wasn't going to post a thing about the speedo comment.  Betsy scares me.

For me this weekend I have no idea.  I'm a week out from the race so I need to get the bike tuned up and I should probably think about getting a swimmy in the wetsuit in.  My body is just absolutely dragging, so I'm going to take it easy.

Like Eric has said a hundred times, I'd rather be a bit undertrained than overtrained and unable to function.

As promised, speedo free

Link

Some naming convention info... if you see a _u that's underwater, there should be a normal speed and a _slow for each of the videos.  Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the swim vids, I have MAC at home so I have been waiting to get to work to check them out.

Not much on my weekend. Too much kids stuff to get a good ride in. The best chance I had was Saturday morning and we had light rain.
