Fishing was a bit slow but it's always fun hanging out with a buddy from college. just getting away sounds awesome... keep trying to convince my husband that the sherox tri in bermuda would make for a fabulous honeymoon, but he ain't buying it. reckon i could suggest a fishing trip next.... glad you had a nice time! I agree - I just might have to pitch my wife on such a trip. Then again, she's been pushing me, if I ever do a full ironman, to do Ironman Cozumel since it's a short ferry ride away from Playa del Carmen, where we got married. She even told me I have to do my first marathon somewhere "fun" when I floated the idea of doing one in the years to come. Ahhh, I love that any excuse for her to get away is a good one, even if it means putting up with stinky clothes for many months beforehand! |

He doesn't understand why I go outside of our tiny little county to do races. Um... because there aren't any here. He wasn't even happy that I drove 4 hours to Pittsburg for a race. |

If I remember right that was a marathon or something, right? If I ever did a marathon, she'd probably offer to drive me both ways! It's all about me finally pursuing something positive after either years of wallowing in what I can't do because of my shoulder or indifference because I couldn't do the things I used to do when I was in better shape. Even so, I'll see what I can do about putting her in contact with everyone else's spouses. |

Expert 1067 Douglaston, NY | Subject: RE: The Ghoulie Mentor Group - Full Good morning all. TGIF! Any big plans for the weekend? I have a big group birthday shindig for several of us on Saturday (in my family, I'm the only June birthday - in my wife's, I am one of 5). Then on Sunday, I have a race that I'm not terribly well prepared for but that I will be doing anyway. Thakfully, it's a pretty flat course so I shouldn't blow up completely on the run but there won't be any hiding in the woods during a trail run like my last race. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: The Ghoulie Mentor Group - Full Good morning My plans for the weekend... run, bike, I should swim but I doubt that will happen. I have some work to do on my flower gardens around the house and the pumpkin patch. Other than that I plan on hanging out with a friend some while her boyfriend is out of town, and playing with my kids. |

How was your race Shawn? Good afternoon! The race was a mix of both good and bad. The swim was MUCH better than my first one, the bike was better by the sheer fact that I didn't drop my chain but the run was a mess. Let's just say I left myself alot of room for improvement! I hope everyone else had a good weekend and a Happy Father's Day, if you are one. |

I have had a muscle in spasm that is causing me problems. My doc put gave me a muscle relaxer and codeine so I've been pretty loopy. I did get a run in already this morning. How is everyone else doing with their training? Who has races coming up? Welcome back! Don't worry about disappering, we're just glad you're okay and you left us in very good hands. That's great about the run this morning. I ended taking a 20 minute nap on the couch after I saw my wife off to work and was late this morning. That will teach me to sit down! My races are mostly done for a bit but my training is finally starting to pick up. Joining a local triathlon class has really helped motivate me! |
