Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: The Ghoulies are STILL doing Ironman distances this month!!! Ann, Even though I don't eat meat, I will eat a chicken just about any time. I do not like them- they are mean, dumb and smelly. I just have a problem the way they are commercially raised. I'll clean and eat a freely raised one any day. My experience with them is similar to your sons- I was older though. I was 12 or 13 and was taking care of a neighbors chickens while they went on vacation. I reached for eggs under a hen and she "kicked" me with her claw. It hit in my vein on my wrist. Deep purplish-red blood spruted out continually. I simultaneously wrapped a cord around my arm to stop the bleeding and smacked the chicken in the head. Ooops, hit the chicken too hard, its little neck snapped. After I got the butterfly band aid on and came back, the giant indigo snake (we lived in Fla) at the chicken. I would have if it didn't. |

I rinse it out and will throw it in the dishwasher but will reuse it if I cleaned it out good. If it was the wife hubbie- I have to hand clean it - LOL |

"To prevent fires you have to eliminate all sources of heat" What sources of heat do you experience at work? How can I answer that question in relation to today's conversation.. Oh, Aaaaannnnn(e), I think this one's for your gutterbrain you!!! Um... are you guys... saying you want me to go away? NEVER!!! Just thought it was funny talking about heat sources at work and how to explain this thread on a normal day. You get as much ice cream as you need. I was really sweatin' it out there for a few minutes. The ice cream should help that. I don't think there's a way to explain this thread. I can't explain it and I have been a part of it for 6 months Mere mortals would NEVER understand! |

I have 2 blenders. One regular one, and a smaller one, I think it's only 16oz or so. I use this one the most. |

I have nothing against vegetarian's either. I don't buy a whole lot of meat, we butcher our own, and it tastes so much better than the store stuff. There is too much pumped into them that I don't care to have to ingest. |

Its better for me, better for the animal, and best of all (like you said) better for the taste buds. |

I was and ovo-lacto vegetarian for many many years and last year I added seafood back to the diet due to the darn cholesterol (I love my cheese too much). And eating seafood, I really don't consider myself a real vegetarian. |
