LOL going to my log. oh yeah. had a great run!! YOU GO GIRL............seems like you are really over that funk from yesterday....eh?,.......that's fantastic.......I can see one of those silly grins from the photos right across your face right now.....LOL! That is the one of the main reasons I do any of this stuff.......just to get that feeling every now and again.....WOOHOOOO........I hope I get a day like that soon too........ SO over the funk from yesterday!! happy happy lyssa!! if i wasn't all sweaty and nasty, and if my dh wouldn't think i was a lunatic, i'd take a pic of my happy happy (sweaty) face and post it!! Wooo Wooo .... time for the pool!!!! |

Champion 23360 Taser-World | Subject: RE: Totally Nutty Triathletes (TNT) dcrunningdiva - 2008-06-19 1:14 PM Hmmm...let's see here... 110% of my goal means this: Bike: 220 miles - I can do that Run - can't do it...I'll barely be making my 100% Swim - 13552 yrds - I can do that, too! Good thing I'm already over my 75% for Bike (almost) & Swim. Dee - does it have to be all three sports or just individually? Each goal is considered individually. So yes, you could shoot for the 110% in any (or all) of your individual activities. (But you couldn't get OVER 110% in ANY activity. Each individual activity is capped at 110%.) |

Expert 642 | Subject: RE: Totally Nutty Triathletes (TNT) Got in a good 20 miles this morning. It felt great with just a slight chill in the air. I realized a couple of days ago why people wear those toe cover thingies. My two smallest toes on both feet felt like I had frost bite and it was only in the 60's! I can't imagine how I would have felt in the 50's! Gotta get some swimming in today. Maybe I'll go to the pool this afternoon with the kiddos and then get in a few hundred yards during the "adult swim" time! I don't have a swim scheduled for today but I have 8 running miles scheduled for tomorrow and I may not feel up to swimming after that. I want to make sure I get all my swimming miles in - plus the 110% -before my "Aunt" comes to visit again (if you know what I mean!). I only have 3502 yds left to swim so I could break that up into two 1751 yd swims or three 1167 yd swims. I can easily get 1000 yds during two adult swim breaks so that would leave me with 2502 yds left to swim or two 1251 yd workouts. Okay, I know you guys don't give a crap about the numbers - just that I make them, right???!!! I just had to do the calculations for my own purposes I guess. |

Expert 1226 Chicago | Subject: RE: Totally Nutty Triathletes (TNT) Sooo....tonight's swim calls for some swimming with my eyes closed as a drill for sighting. W.T.F.? Has anyone ever heard of this?? I mean, I guess this makes sense...but still. It's just...weird? Warm Up: - 2 x 200 free Drill Set: - 4 x 25 free blind -- swim w/ eyes closed -- count the number of stokes it takes for you to hit the lane line -- this tells you how often you need to site Main Set: - 30 min non-stop swim -- every 4th length close your eyes and sight one stoke before hitting the lane line Cool Down: - 2 x 100 Choice |

Master 2339 somewhere over the rainbow | Subject: RE: Totally Nutty Triathletes (TNT) i don't dig the eyes closed thing. as far as sighting, about every 5th or 6th stroke, i take a quick glance. i can't claim to be super good at it, but i've never gone way out there on an OWS. the other thing i do in a race anyway, is get behind someone and keep an eye on their feet. is this drafting? perhaps, i don't know. |

Heh...you could make this into some crazy math story problem for your kids. Tracy starts swimming at 12pm at a speed of :20 per 25 yds. Aunt Flo starts swimming at 12:15pm, gaining .5 sec on Tracy each length. How long will it take for Aunt Flo to catch Tracy and ruin her week? |
