Okay... a little nervous....

just noticed that my glands behind my left ear near my jaw are tender...

I WILL NOT GET SICK!!!!! I WILL NOT GET SICK!!!! I WILL NOT GET SICK!!!!

Okay... gotta take my vitamins NOW and find some OJ.

I hear that cattle prods are highly effective against viruses and bacteria.

hmmm what about against cockroaches?

Nope. Cattle prods, like nuclear radiation, is pretty much ineffective against cockroaches...

hmm I know you can deep fry them... thought the cattle prod might be kind of similar and turn them crispy one by one....

Deep fried cockroaches. Yum. (Ew!)

deep fried cockroaches?????

wow - usually we talk about good food

LOL!

Umm just for the record.. Im not suggesting anyone actually try it!

Jen, I thought Sat was just a 13 mi training run with support....

Technically it's a half-marathon race. I am treating it as a supported run. I do have to finish in 3 hours to get a medal and finisher's shirt, so I'd like to do that.

A training run with support, a medal and a t-shirt - pity we cant all get that for every training run!

You will do it! no problemo

I think it's going to be close, but doable.  I don't think the marathon is going to be as fast as I want it to be in October.

I'm not too worried.  I'm a little frustrated that my run fitness hasn't come back as much as I would like after the stress fracture last year.  Maybe I'm being too impatient.

I think you will surprise yourself. It is amazing what the race atmosphere and adrenalin can do to your paces, even though it is still a training run

Artemis - 2008-08-21 8:09 PM I'm burned out on the Olympics.  Partly because I don't find the track and events going on now as interesting, partly because the first week was so exciting and hyped.

I am right there with you!

how's it going?

Goin' good now that the kids are back in school Hi, Cat! (blowing a kiss)

that time of year is always good

this year is really a strange one for me

J drove to St Louis to begin his sophmore year in college - said goodbye over the phone

K - moves in on 8/27 - we are taking her next week - well, I'm flying to meet the rest of the fam after she is moved in, at least I'll be there for the orientation stuff

C- haven't even registered him for 8th grade yet - yeah, I need to get on that.........now that I have a lease I can do something about it

It would me a strange year wherever you were with two out of three in college One of my friends moved her twin sons to Clemson this weekend and she was still crying over it. She still has one at home, but this hit her harder than she expected.

I can totally understand - I think I'm going to have a hard time when I leave K in Chicago

it's really strange and hard to describe the emotions

on the one hand you are so happy that they are taking that step and that they are successful young adults, but there is a sadness as well

I can only imagine. I cried like a baby when both of mine "graduated" pre-school. I figure I will be a blubbering idiot when it comes time for college.

First day back was Wednesday. Got lots of love from the little old ladies in the arthritis class. Boss is fine as long as we don't talk about werk. We may be riding together again this Saturday. He makes a much better training partner and friend than boss.

How's the cooky coworker?

that is sweet about the ladies in the arthritis class, that had to make you feel good

at least you have some common ground with your boss - that is better than nothing - he's probably not a good boss all around - just a guess

my coworker - omg - she is such a piece of work!

i go between being pissed, being amused, and mostly feeling sorry for her

I can't imagine how much energy it must take to be her - lol

good news is that I think we are ready to launch the redesign on tues
