We've been a little less chatty, so fewer opportunities. Speaking of which, where has the queen been lately? Not sure. Her kiddos are home from school now with the Christmas break, I'm sure they're keeping her busy. Either that or she ditched the village and now spends all her time playing the Wii. You know, with all the little Mii's you can create on that thing she's probably created her own lieele Wii Village to replace us. x2 It would be funny to see how she recreated all of us in Mii form for her little village. That's funny. I hope she made me THIN! I'm sure she was flattering to all of us, but why do I have this vision in my head of her Mii being WAY taller than the rest of us, at least when she's wearing her crown... Well of course her crown would make her taller. Good point. Do you think she has a sceptre? I bet she does, and it's got a Garmin 305 on the end. I'm sure she has a sceptre, what else would she chase Mr. Graves with? I thought it was a newer Garmin than the 305. Maybe she'll get Garmin to design a special model just for her sceptre. It could be the 310QGV model. And it would be the most AWESOME design known to man!!! And extra durable to withstand the bonks on the head it would deliver to those of us who are slacking. Yes, I would think some sort of shock absorbing system would be a must. And since the sceptre would obviously be made of carbon it would probably have good shock absorbing characteristics to begin with. This thing sounds sweet... Since we're going all out, it really should work in the water, too. Not just for time, but be able to track distance. Us Ghoulie's are might nice to our queen! |

Good call... we could engineer the carbon handle to be telescoping so it could attach easily to the wetsuit. Better yet, the GPS should just come off and attach to the super-sweet watchband/Road ID that comes with it. |

I got some cycling gloves, waterbottle belt, running socks and some SPINERVALS for Xmas...oh ya...im hcore... Ya, I've done an Oly...I'm thinking---Sprint--March 27, Half-Mary--May 2, Oly--Beginning of June, Oly at beginning of July and then HIM Aug 1.....??? Then a sprint at the beginning of Sept....Plus some swim competitions ducked in an out of those up until the beginning of July.... |

AH! Hi Melissa, and welcome back! My advice (which should be taken with a very tiny grain of salt) would be to pick one or two races you REALLY want to do, and then sprinkle a few others in that don't mess with your training schedules too badly. Have fun, and let us know what you pick! |

AH! Which ones are you looking at? I've been trying to figure out my schedule, too. It's changed 5 or 6 times so far, no worries though. I still have time to decide, and so do you. |

That looks like a very solid schedule for the year. Everything looks pretty spaced out so plenty of time to get some training in in between each. |

Champion 10742 Ames, IA | Subject: RE: The Ghoulie's: We Are Doing What We Are Loving December Challenge I'm popping in to do some bragging tonight. I just finished up the eighth week of swim focused training. Before the start of those 8 weeks I did a 1000yd time trial in 17:21. Today I did another time trial and this time I did it in 16:07!! My goal was to go under 16' by the end of March. I've got another 8 weeks of swimming focus ahead. Can't wait to see what I can do! |
