gojogo - 2010-02-11 10:38 AM Good Morning,
So Kevin, brutal may not have been the best word choice to describe being a mother. IMO- being a parent is the most important and difficult job anyone can have. Being responsible to teach, love and nuture another human being to become a respectful, productive citizen is a challenge and one that if isn't given top priority has severe consequences. Being an elementay teacher, I see first hand the results of poor parenting. Not everyone has the zest that Helen has. The older I get I find that making sure I get time to myself. Without it I am not as good of a parent. Too cranky, becoming a triathlete has really helped me be more balanced.
Enough of that. I'm nursing a pulled quad or pinched siatic, or something. Went to the chiropractor yesterday, got adusted and had an hour massage. It's feeling better today. Hoping the pain is gone for the indoor tri on Saturday.

Okay folks... I agree with Kelly 100% here. Yes, I had a poor choice of words... probably "demanding" would be more apropriate.
I do believe that parenting is a FAR more important job then anything else we could do with our lives. I also respect those people who have chosen NOT to be a parent, be it a choice or having it forced on them. You are just as important in the lives of the children around you... whether you know it or not.
I have a great deal of respect for all the mother's out there, specially the ones who can successfully balance work, home life, and tri training, you women have my UTMOST respect.
Let me be VERY clear here. I was just joking around and will be more careful choosing my words. I should know better... with a wife who's a writer, I know the power of words. I'm sorry if I offended anyone. Was not meant in a mean spirited way at all... just me being my smart-a$$ self. Don't take much of what I say seriously.... and I'll try to use the sarcasm font more.
Ok... back to the fun.
You are so much like me in getting into trouble.
