Morning, morining all.

I did not get a run in yesterday. I'll have to do it today. A tree fell in our yard blocking the drive. The hubbie and I had to spend a really hot afternoon and evening chopping and toting wood. I did log it thought!

Marla, are you getting nervous?

I'm glad the tree fell and only blocked the drive instead of taking out either your, your cars or even your house!

I didn't even realize that Marla's time had come.  How exciting!

That's cuz you were sleeping in!

How do you like your tri club? I am jealous. The nearest one is in Asheville, about 35 minutes away. There is no way to hook up with them- and I have to admit I am unsure if I would even if I were closer. One of my fears is working out in public.

I am sooooo busted!  No more snoozes for me, I guess.

The funny thing is that because I live nearly on Long Island, I am a member of a team out there but this class is in the city run by another team at a gym.  I've been terrified of actually joining the Long Island team I am a member of for the reason you gave but since this is a class, I gave it a chance and am very glad that I did.  Yes, I am bringing up the rear on the run but I found out that my swimming isn't horrible and my biking is pretty fair too.

It's also really great to get immediate input from the guy running the class as well as training with others, which appeals to my competitive side.

Someday, I may even join the Long Island team for their weekend training sessions but I need to get a bit better first.  Don't want to embarass myself too badly!

MORNING Folks!

Today is my Friday. Whooppeee. I am going to do another run today and then go out and do a rain dance. We are in a drought again and things are wilting up and dying.

Send rain if you have too much. (Just no floods, please).

Good morning!

After reading Robin's post I realized this is my Friday, too. WOOT!

My husbands nephew is getting married tomorrow evening and the wedding is 2.5 hours away so I'm taking the day off.

I plan on sleeping in until about 5:00 then going for my run and bike ride.

Ohhh - It's SOOOOO ON!  You will suffer greatly at the hands of my weeding, digging, and fertilizing prowess!!

(Now, I just have to figure out how to explain to my wife why we're doing this on Saturday instead of Sunday, like we planned...)

that should definitely count as a workout (i mean if POLE DANCING can get logged.....!)

& YES, thanks. haven't worked out in about 2+ weeks, so honestly feel that i was in better shape a month ago, which i'm trying not to let freak me out. good news -for me - is that it's so flippin hot that they've already banned wetsuits. orca gets to sit this one out!

Hey - my wife doesn't complain when I do my version of it, just as your husband wouldn't if you did a little of the real thing for him.  Wink
You'll do great!  Just take your time, race your race and smile the whole time.  I don't follow my own advice and sometimes act like it's a job while I'm racing.  Don't do that!  Tongue out

Let's all just agree that we're amongst the slower parts of the spandex clad crowds we seem to keep running into for races.

OK all you friday loafers...hope y'all have extra fun for me....been working my tail off, so will think of all of you while i'm working tomorrow...but since i'm self-employed, won't complain bc working is GOOD...tho it's greatly cut in on the time i might've spent today embracing the cool little black/silver piece of fruit that showed up on my doorstep yesterday....

i'll have to smile - they're projecting temps in teh high 90's AND thunderstorms...what else is there to do but laugh? honestly, i'm just frustrated bc i wanted to be fit enough to get to teh top of mt albert on my bike and for once not feel like there's not enough air in the universe to fill my lungs...but whatever... i need to remember what team i'm racing with, and try to keep that in perspective...

(and i'm all for doing as i say, not as i do, btw...that's how i make my living Laughing)
