The leftover scallop scampi is not sitting well. The run will clear it out - it always does for me - LOL It is the manner of the clearing out I fear. |

Will there be a May Ghoulies Iron distance challenge? We are not like your traditional challenge threads. We got put together on a team back in October. Not only did we kick azz that month, we just kind of clicked, and we've stayed together since. We come up with our own challenges every month, and many members also join the other challenge groups as well, they're a little more competitive. In May we are doing a stretching kind of challenge. I think we are going by how many stretching/yogaish sessions you get in. Plus there is a measurement. Measure how far you can reach while seated on the floor at the beginning of the month, then again at the end of the month, to check your progress. Am I right here folks? I never heard of it - I will be a cheerleader again I don't do yoga during bike season. well maybe I can force myself to before I leave on the bike. who doesn't want to wake up at 4:30 for a 30 minute yoga session when I could be riding?????? Yea - don't think that will happen - LOL It doesn't have to be Yoga, just any stretching that you do counts. Have our rules ever been that rigid? Have we ever had rules? Nope - that is why I am a Ghoulie - I hate rules I stretched this morning - I was very proud of myself for remembering! I do have great flexibility though - want to see Ann(e)? Hi Ghoulies. Been uber busy lately and trying to read through everything I've missed. I still have about 10 pages to go, but not letting this slip by. Bill, there no rules about what part of your body you are stretching. You know what I mean? Surely you don't give that up during bike season??? |

It can hold about 3 of us at most. guess that would be girl boy girl. I know we have some pretty awesome guys here, but I'm not sure that even THEY can handle 2 Ghoulie Gals at a time! That sounded a lot like a dare. Hey - new avatar Well it wasn't a dare at first, but it could certainly be one now. Any of you boys up for the challenge? I'm not scared. Bring it on!!! |

I know Neal has Escape From Alcatraz this weekend, and I have the Pittsburgh HM. Is anyone else racing this weekend? I'm not racing, but I'll be volunteering at a Sprint tri here in town. I'll be at the swim start which will be a GREAT place to do some learning. Plus, by the time the last wave is off I'll have plenty of time to go over and help/observe T1/T2. I'm definitely looking forward to it. |

I only got 1 in and I am disappointed. I should have been able to complete 1 a week. I have been beating myself up a lot for not getting it done. It's looking like I'll miss my goal there as well. I'm disappointed but I'm trying to not beat myself up about it. I am more concerned with just getting things back to some semblance of normalcy around here. |

And do you have more than 1 blender-typr thing you use? I hate washing the blender. But I love my smoothies. And so does my son. I honestly have no idea when the last time I used my blender was. Come to think of it, I'm not even sure I have one right now. I'll have to investigate tonight... |

Nothing to brag about Tom. How about you? Hey, lost my emoticons???? Is this a mac thing? Anyway, work has been busy, hence my absence from the village during the day lately. Much as I miss hanging out, I really do like being crazy busy at work. Today I had to slide out during the middle of the day to take the old cat to the vet. He wasn't right when I got up this morning. Totally threw my schedule into shreds, but you do what you gotta do. Turns out we just need to increase his BP meds. His systolic was through the roof, but thankfully the retinas didn't detach. He's 19 yo, which I think is ancient in human years. Ok, gotta get out of the suit and into sweats. Back later. |
