The Library Dragon by Carmen Deedy and Animal Masquerade by Marianne Dubuc. All the animals dress up like another animal. The kids love to guess what each animal is going to dress up as. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: GHOULIES moving towards the islands. For the past 5 weeks I've taken Keri once a week to work with the pitching coach at Gettysburg College. While Keri was warming up last night we were talking and she told me she was paid to find athletic ability and natural talent, and Keri had both. She said that right now Keri is ok playing where she is, but in 2 years when she moves up to 12U that it would be a good idea to take her down to Maryland and put her on one of the summer travel teams. She said they are more compitive and it would help Keri develop better, and she'd have a better chance of being seen by college scouts. Do colleges really scout 11-12 year old girls? I'm really going to have to think about it. Just from a little research last night 1) you have to try out, probably not a problem, the kid IS good 2) they are more expensive 3) it would be expensive to travel to 8-9 tournaments over the summer 4) it would be farther to drive for practice 2-3 times a week I know she loves softball. She has talked about playing in the Olympics (I hope it gets reinstated as an Olympic sport). What would THE VILLAGE do? |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: GHOULIES moving towards the islands. Howdy Ghoulies. I am home from Fla. It was not a bad trip and got home in time for Dock night. It was a spectacular evening! Now I must get ready for a sampling event tomorrow, a settlement meeting today, and start moving the plants in for the winter. |

Those kinds of opportunities don't come around often. Though, I would also try to find something for the boy to balance it all out. Good luck. |

Both kids play basketball, he is going to go back to soccer, and she has softball. He has also expressed an interest in tennis. We have a high schooler who is going to work with him a little bit over the winter, and then during the spring and summer. The put tennis nets up in the field house of the college in the winter, and both Caleb, and the high schooler we found have access to the field house. Keri breaths softball. I would love for Caleb to find something he is so passionate about. We are going to send him to some soccer camps this summer. There is a day camp that the soccer association runs. He is also going to go for a week to a nearby college to a soccer camp. His best friend is going, too, they can room together. |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: GHOULIES moving towards the islands. So, another trip today to the Orthopedic. Shot of cortizone in the hip. Ouch! Next visit in 2 months. If no improvement, we will then do a MRI on the hip, but he did say that if there is a tear, usually surgery is not done to fix. They wait until it is bad enough for a hip replacement. In December we will consider if I need to go to a pain clinic. Aaaarrrrrrrggggghhhhhh! |
