Kido - 2012-09-24 3:32 PM Man I love Doritos...  nom nom nom
What flavor?

Of the standard, Cool Ranch is the best, followed by the original nacho.

They were testing a flavor in the area called "late night cheesburger" or something along those lines.  They were FANTASTIC.  But never really caught on.

The cool ranch smelled like feet to me.  Not really stinky feet .. just feet.  But then I've not had such a think if over a year.

I thought the cheseberger chips were well marketed but were terrible.  I actually wrote a letter top derritos telling them so and that the only people that would possibly eat them were in college experimenting with burning different types of plants.  They sent me a coupon for a free bagto to replace the ones I got bamboozled into buying.  And I never complain.  Who thought that a chip could provoke such passion.

I hardly ever can bring myself to even touch a Dorito these days, but Cheese Curls? Oh, I am a complete sucker for those.
As horrible as they are (and no, I don't want to know what's in them!!), I can just eat a whole bag in one sitting. Orange colored crack powder on the outside of those things!

Are there any "green thumbs" in TAN?

I've been known to grow some veggies in the back yard......

Whatcha need?  I seem to have a knack for keeping things alive (except for cacti, that for some reason I kill) .. and I am good at growing things from seeds.

I had a spider plant that was really thriving.  I had it in a pot that's "self watering".  So really, a pot inside a pot that porous.  Anyway for over a year it was growing like crazy, then almost overnight, the leaves turned brown and just died.  Plenty of water etc...

I finally unpotted it to salvage the pot and throw away the plant and the entire thing was roots.  It's looked like a pot of spegetti.  So I figure that has something to do with it...

Thoughts?

Sounds like your plant suffocated.  If it was all roots like that. Think like a boa constrictor.

Yeah, but I don't know to avoid it next time around...  Bigger pot?  Maybe cut away half the roots and replant?  Sad, that plant made me happy.

Yes. Bigger pot as plant grows.  Check the roots from time to time too.  If it's more root than dirt or the plant stops growing it's time. You have to keep putting plants in bigger pots so their roots can grow and "breathe" and better nourish the plant.  The plant WANTS to grow.  Don't cut the roots.  That can be very traumatic to the plant if you do it wrong.

There were so many roots, it pushed out all the dirt and it looked like a clean bowl of Pho...  mmmmm  pho...

It was a VERY slow day yesterday.

TJ made an innuendo that I called her on, but it only garnished 5 responses. Kido started talking about Doritos, but that fizzled out....and....now you've caught up.

Morning Ladies and Gents....and Cord.
