Artemis - 2008-08-06 12:00 PM I am pretty much done with work for today.  I am waiting for some reactions to be finished (around 4) and I have some things queued up on a computer and running.  That's about it.  Today wasn't so bad for me.

Sounds like things are going much more smoothly w/ underdog undergrad gone

It's way less stressful with the undergrad gone.  Boy never planned ahead and then wondered why things didn't work well.  He is coming back for the rest of the week because he doesn't want our adviser to know how much he messed up some experiments.  I don't think they are going to work better this time around.

So I decided not to go play softball and still haven't gotten anything done...

Was interesting however,  the new pool manager and the lead custodian had a very heated discussion in my office over who the water hose belongs to.

wow - I've actually had to work today - bummer!

what's happening?

Waiting for someone to come in and play with for the next hour until I leave for my group ride tonight.  Nibbs has been very very quiet again.

Dee snuck in and then left just as fast.  Said her and Christian had some wine tasting tour to take

LOL!

Yeah nibbs gets quiet when Dee isn't around -

Perhaps it's time for two hoses?

Hi Pam!

what's the ride going to be?

It's another mountain ride. Friend/Training Partner/Boss was going to ride with me again. Then another friend wanted to join us but she has a much longer ride, plus a run. So we were trying to figure out how we could make our workouts work together. Then another guy wants to join the party, too. So it looks like we will have a nice little foursome for at least 65 miles in the mountains!

So I just got my wetsuit in the mail for my Xterra next week and I found a sprint this Saturday and I am thinking hey great way to TRI it out (Man am I good ).  But there is a 10 mile trail run Sunday on the XTerra course that I can scope out before hand.

What do you guys suggest?

I love last minute race decisions!

This never works for me cuz I'm such an adrenalin junkie, but maybe you could do the sprint and not RACE it. Tri (good one) out the wetsuit, spin your legs on the bike and do an ez jog. And still be good for your trail run.

OKay, so here's my training dilemas for the next two days...

1.)  Any and I were going to do a brick tomorrow am after she drops DS off at school, I got called to sing at funeral at 11.... worried we won't have time to train b/t drop off and funeral.... I suppose I could just throw my hair up and wear a choir robe over my workout gear...  and I work from 2 to 11 tomorrow.

2.)  I started a thread on local tri site to get a group together for OWS on Fri.  I left the time open to see what would work best for most.  Looks like there's going to be two groups.  I think the am would work better with my schedule, but feel like I should go pm to make sure there's enough in the group.  Of course if I go PM I could work on the fence gate in the morning, but if I go AM then I'm home when the boys get home...

I think it was a draw.... funny b/c pool manager hung around in my office afterwards for me to validate his feelings... I just shared with him some cool things I found online...
