I think I may need to move on to serving #2. What's on tap for serving #2? I have a cab but not sure I'll make it to #2 tonight. I'm not sure, I have to go check out the supplies. All we have left now is the good stuff we were saving so we're enjoying it together before we move. I'm sure it will be a nice serving indeed Second serving toppage!

Oh, and he took 1st place AGAIN for his age group. I want to be like him in 30 or so years. We went out to brunch after and had a great chat about alot of stuff - including all my drama. He's well aware of the players and actually surprised me when he told me originally to get the heck out of that relationship. Great to hear the wisdom of many years. Good for him! I can only hope to still be running at 75! That is great! |

I was expecting you to be very bleary eyed and talking with a raspy voice. I guess you handle your alcohol well. runnerx - 2008-12-13 2:11 PM LazyMarathoner - 2008-12-13 12:05 PM Morning Vixens. Had a nice little race this morning, I met up with and ran with Wally as well as my friend Jonah (jmk-brooklyn here on BT). It was F R I G I D. And in true Kristin style, I got drunk last night and had a raging hangover after a lovely 4.5-5 hours sleep. Needless to say, I didn't set any PRs today! But we had a good time and were able to run and chat together the entire way. I'm waiting for a class to end at the pool, then I'm off for a short swim. Hope everyone has a great Saturday! Yeah, it was nice to finally meet up with the famed Styrofoam-wine girl. :-) The hills were hard for me as I have only been running on the flat track, so it was nice to have a couple of people to help drag my butt along. Kristin - looks like my chip didn't register at the start, so my official time is aobut 4 mins slower than what we ran. But according to my watch, our splits were consistently 30 seconds faster on each mile. That actually makes for a great workout. Glad we met up. The four beers and two bottles of wine made it hard for me, LOL! It was so great to finally meet you after almost 6 months of blog/BT friendship. I'm glad we got to run together too. Sorry we lost you at the end. We hung around baggage until we started to form icicles and finally had to bail! And am I only known for the styrofoam??? Yeah, I'm an old pro with the booze! Not sure that's a skill needed to complete an Ironman though! We should do some open water swims together this year. I've been struggling with finding someone up for a 4000 meter swim! |

I've been struggling with finding someone up for a 4000 meter swim! Sounds good to me. I usually go up to a lake here in NJ - 6am during the week. I get the feeling you have some flexibility in your work schedule - you're more than welcome to head on over with me. Usually a bunch of triathletes there any day of the week. There's also a 1.2 and 2.4 mile swim in June or so down the shore that I want to do. |

Good lord, 6am???? Jeez. Lake swims would be good for me. I'm an ocean swimmer and have only swam in fresh water once (Lake Michigan) so I need to get used to that for IMMOO. There better not be weeds or loch ness monsters and such. |

Early morning is what it's all about. |

Master 1989 New Jersey | Subject: RE: Team Vixen - Dec. Limiter Challenge erica - I'd have to think that any Ironman, at any point in your life, is a selfish endeavor. I admit it. This is all about ME!! But you know, you do have to have your own identity - you can't always be the "wife" or the "mother." (hmmmm...i guess I learned some lessons from my divorce.) So...head on up to Lake Placid this year for a family vacation. Get all psyched watching the race. Sign up on-site for next year. |

Either they will be proud or think I'm nuts. Not sure which! It is a lifelong dream of mine to become an Ironman. I have wanted this since I was in high school. I never thought I could do it until recently. |
