ceilidh - 2009-11-13 8:25 AM Morning team. My computer is acting up so I can't change pages or go up or down or .... I guess my mouse is dying. It being Italian and all it will be dramatic. I need to get my new computer up and running but I am such a wuss that I have no earthly idea of how to transfer all my data and settings etc to the new one.
Looks like there is a bunch of young ghoulies that are being raised right out there. I cannot wait to see the first-ever-5-k race report. How exciting. Uh... Stacie, Queen... you better get the strength going girl.. You are the QUEEN you know, you have responsibilities. You are being disdained!!!!
The Quintuplets were amazing. All with really distinctive personalities and their parents were (are) so calm and cool and patient. However, If I felt like it would be best to have my ovaries removed, just in case that could happen to me. AAAGGGGHHH. We saw them for 1 and 1/2 hour and OMG. There is indeed a perpetual motion machine and it is 5 18 month olds.
gonna run in my new shoes today!!!!!!
TGIF all.

Robin - you must feed the Italian mouse Italian food to make it work - time for a pasta lunch!

I am still amazed at 5.  Our friend had a 2 y/o, 1 y/o, then triplets!  They are the calmest parents I have ever met - somehow I think you just realize that life is not worth it and you calm down - maybe I need some triplets thrown into my life to tone me down some - Anyone interested?? LOL

Treat those new shoes good!

looks like ANN took you up on your....uhm....offer.

i can be a good second string, if you'd like.

Way to go Stacie! Now give me sume of that running mojo.....I talked myself out of it today....maybe will do the TM tonight at the Y but doubt it....body says it needs a break!

The day is not over yet! Get your AZZ out there and run!!!! GO! NOW!!!

Well I did not take advantage of the sun but I did get a run in at the Y with daughter #3! We were at a table and she says I don't want to sit here we should do something! So I suggested the track and she was all over it! This makes me very happy as she is the only child of mine that has weight issues. The other 3 are avg to skinnnnnnnny! Then there is B. She takes after me and we must work at staying a healthy weight but she is only 9 and I worry about her. We got a mile in, she only walked a few steps and finished in 10:20!

well there you go, KIM.

and kudos to you for setting a healthy example.

i was the kid in my family w weight issues.

i wished my mom cared about ME the way you care about YOUR B.

she'll grow up one day and thank you.

Afternoon everyone.  Been running errands.  Took today off to get caught up.  Flying down to Orlando in the morning for work.  May get some BT time, but may not.  I will, however, get all my knee PT time in.  Session #12 done.

We had some mighty wind here today, and it wasn't from my beans and rice dinner.  Power was out most of the afternoon and none of the traffic lights in town were working.  Nuts. Now everyone's security alarms are going off.

I's still here for about 3 more hours.

Hi Ann!  Getting ready for a great weekend?

I get to rake lots  of maple leaves in the rain.  Whoo hoo...Undecided

I have a 5k tomorrow, other than that and a nap I don't have too much planned. Probably some work around the house. This is our first weekend without a soccer game so it's a little weird. Next weekend when we have nothing planned will be WAY WEIRD!

Raking leaves in the rain does not sound like a good time. Make sure to enjoy a hot bath and some hot cocoa when you're done.

ummm... sounds like a good plan after raking!  Yeah!

Good luck on your 5k.  Funny how an uncrowded weekend can seem kind of empty and somehow wrong!  LOL

I have a fun run 3.5 mile coming up on Thanksgiving morning.  This will be my first "real" event, so it will be interesting to see how I react with people heading out at the same time but going so much faster than me.  Gotta remember to just run (jog) my own pace!  Smile

This is my thing, too. I'm not fast, I can just go. My goal is sub 30. I'm just going to have some fun and get a t-shirt. My HM running partner is running it as well. I'm going to run my race and not worry about what anybody else out there is doing.

Enjoy it and have fun!  Us ghoulies will be cheering for you!

AFTERNOON GHOULIES.

will stick around to catch up a bit.

but wanted to touch base.

got to the Y.  1 mile continuous swim ff. by 900 yard continuous swim.

ff. by a DISDAINFUL ST SESSION, though actually becoming a little less disdainfull the more i do it....

just like i blogged, that 2 mile continuous swim by the end of the year looks more and more attainable each and every swim.

what was cool....my 2nd half albeit shorter than 1 mile, was faster than my first half.

it appears, and this seems like across the tri disciplines, the longer i go, the 'better' i feel and the 'faster' i get [i think its more i 'settle in' get in a 'groove' and get more efficient, enter that zen space the longer i go]

good news as i contemplate a 1/2 IM.

wee hee for me!
stacieb

Very cool on the swimming progress Stacie.  You'll be more than ready to conquer that 1.2 during the HIM.

That recipe sounds really good.... I will have to try it soon!

Somebody's (Katie's?) recipe for spaghetti squash turned out very yummy earlier this week.  Fixed the squash, mixed in garlic, parmesan, and oregano, and egg.  For the topping I used hamburger, onion, italian seasoned tomatoes, tomato sauce, a touch of sugar,  more oregano and garlic and parmesan.  Super yummy.... DH even had seconds and took some for lunch the next day!
