I hate gambling, except for poker, which I don't completely consider gambling.

For ME, the joy of winning a couple hundred bucks is small compared to being upset about LOSING a couple hundred.  The reward vs risk is not worth it to me.

Win 100?  I'm "meh" that's kind of cool.  Lose 100?  I'm sick to my stomach thinking of what I could have gotten with that cash and knowing I have to work a 2 hours just to get it back (3, after taxes).

Taxes?  Did someone say taxes?  I am ready to see how badly I effed up 2011 ... first eff up ... not even filing them.  Thankfully my accountant is an older mellow guy and he doesn't judge .. he just says .. "eh, I've seen people do worse, we can smooth this out".   That's what he says no matter what!  ha!

I think if you're still in the same decade, you are good.  Although, Wesley Snipes may disagree.

Yanti was hit by a Taxi in the Bali Triathlon, not this last one but the one before.  She got up and finished the tri thereby defeating the Taxi's nefarious scheme and earning her the title of Taxi's Bane.

Kinda hard to ignore the certified letter.  But I called and they were very nice and gave me ample time to complete their request.  I had NO income but I had converted my IRA to a Roth IRA and I had to pay the taxes on that.  Otherwise I wouldn't have had to file at all!  It's all good! But there are still some things to settle from the 2005 tax return .. I paid more in taxes than anyone I know!

I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I was missing/late with a tax return.  I think I might be too-tightly wound.

Harrrooo!

I have not seen The Dictator, which is silly as I adore Baron-Cohen.

Of course, I really haven't been out and about much to cop a pirated DVD.

My wife introduced me to Quinoa saying it's healthier.  It's DELISH!  Kind of like rice, kind of like couscous.  Great way to mix up the usual.

ICK. I really don't like the way it tastes plain. I have to put a whole bunch of stuff in it to actually enjoy eating it. But it does have a really high protein content so I eat it anyway. In fact, I'm having it for lunch today (with green chilies, black beans, avocado and cilantro)

First time for me the other night.  Rice cooker and with a bit of piri piri (spice mix) and another time just a table spoon of teriyaki sauce.  I tend to even cook rice with a chicken boulion cube to kick it up a bit (save basmati, that's good on it's own).

That stuff contains saponin.  We use that to punch holes in cells.
