My new "weight training" workout of choice is TRX. I have a bad shoulder, too. I worked with a trainer at my gym who modified some of the exercises to take into account my injured shoulder. It is feeling very good right now. Both Crossfit and TRX can be completed in less than an hour. Hmmmm, TRX? I've never heard of it...I will check it out, thanks!! |

I might jump on the trainer for a little while when I get home. You're doing Waterfront this weekend, aren't you Jay?? Are you linking up with any of the other BTers? Yup...waterfront. They didn't provide a swim cap...so I had to buy one. The cheapest one they had was hot pink...so of course that's the one I got. I buzz cut my hair...so I don't use a swim cap during training...LOL. Not meeting up with any of the other local BTers...because I don't know any of them. Besides you, I only converse with Shaved_Wookie...and he's not racing. I've only been active in BT since about mid January, so eventually I'll cross paths with the others. You won't be hard to miss, will ya?! FYI...Sam (fxobert) and Mike (WhatwasIthinking) are always around and are basically doing the same one's on your race schedule. I mention this cuz they are the one's I've always linked up with and are good people with lots of knowledge!!! |

Don't dare leave him alone right now, especially since we still don't really know what it is. Is today your anniversary? Happy anniversary and I really hope your son gets better soon!!! Anniversary is Saturday, but we were going to go someplace overnight while my son was at his HOSA competition. Since he has been sick, we didn't think it would be a good idea for him to go to the competition and we didn't want to leave him alone. We are changing our plans for a week or two down the road when we know our son is out of the woods on this. That is too bad he will miss the competition (or that you will miss celebrating on your anniversary) but you all are in my prayers...I know how scary it is when your kiddos aren't well let alone something like this!! |

Master 1887 Brentwood, CA | Subject: RE: T.W.I.S.T.E.R. - March Winds Challenge Feeeew... I'm beat. I spent the day with more yardwork and bike maintenance, on my wife's bike! God, so frickin' frustrating. How can a person ride a bike to this point without saying something???? I had to bleed the rear brake, replace front brake pads, adjust the front derailleur, overhaul the bottom bracket, and clean the chain. Errrrr. So, I'm taking a so-called rest day today, except for a little stretching and foam roller. |

I had to bleed the rear brake, replace front brake pads, adjust the front derailleur, overhaul the bottom bracket, and clean the chain. Errrrr. I came in a few minutes ago from several hours of working in the yard. I feel so groggy! I'm too lazy to even type much. I may make it to the gym for a swim or a run later. I plan to do some biking with a friend tomorrow. So, I'm taking a so-called rest day today, except for a little stretching and foam roller. |

Champion 7931 Sequim, Washington | Subject: RE: T.W.I.S.T.E.R. - March Winds Challenge My energy bars have rolled oats (certified gluten free), shredded coconut, peanut butter, pumpkin puree, a bit of maple syrup, chopped pecans, raisins, a bit of cinnamon and a dash of salt. They are in the oven right now. I'll know how they turn out in twenty minutes or so. The bit I licked off of my hands tasted good though. |
