kcarroll - 2010-06-21 12:18 PM Ok, I am starving.  In the rush to get out the door this morning I did not pack a lunch today.  Not good.

What's nearby and healthy?

Not much.  We have a cafeteria at the office but I resist it like the plague.  I got food poisoning there twice.  The kind that is gut-wrenching, spend the night on your bathroom floor, wish you were dead.  Twice.  There is a grocery store across the street.  May run over there and pick up some bread and peanut butter.  And some fruit. I usually have Jiff (small travel cup servings) in my desk drawer but appear to have run out.

If you got food poisoning twice, other people got it, too. I can't believe they haven't shut down, or been forced to clean up their act!

If given the choice, I would do the same.  Good call, Robin.  Need to be all purdy for the big day.

The chef/manager was fired and no, I was not the only one.  The first time it happened he said it wasn't food poisoning because our symptom onset was 3-4 hours post exposure and food poisoning usually takes 12 hours min. A chef/cafeteria manager that doesn't know food poisoning causes and onset???? Hellooo???? Oh, and at least 30% of the people that eat in his little treasure trove of noroviruses and bacteria are MD's, PhDs or PharmD's.  It is supposed to be better now but I'm a bit neurotic about eating there.

Off to ShopRight.  Now that Robin's here, you can keep it rolling.
