MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Inspired & Wet November Challenge I guess that this has been a busy day for everyone today. Not much chatter out here. I finally got to the gym yesterday and will go tomorrow. Friday I am planning on getting into the pool. I can't wait. |

Champion 10742 Ames, IA | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Inspired & Wet November Challenge ironannekidd - 2010-11-17 11:30 AM I want to ride my bike. I'm not talking about on the trainer either. I want to go out and ride my bike, on the road, for miles and miles. I probably won't have an opportunity to do that until next weekend though. I hope you get out! I think I'm resigned to the trainer till March |

Elite 4201 washington state | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Inspired & Wet November Challenge Morning Ghoulies! We went ahead and cooked a turkey yesterday. We had turkey and veggies and stuffing last night for dinner ... just the two of us. LOL It was actually kind of nice. DH had pulled a turkey out of the freezer being helpful. But it was really too early. So once it thawed we had to go ahead and cook it. So I decided to try out a new stuffing recipe. Not bad! |

Champion 6656 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Inspired & Wet November Challenge Im feeling it this morning. Last nights swim involved 4x50 fly on 60...the last time I have done 4 straight 50's'of fly all under 45s?...2006. Haha. Well I'm not sore, but I'm going to blame the tiredness on those 4 50's because I feel like it. I'm also afraid to look outside... |

How is she doing? For that matter, how are YOU doing? I called, and they had no evening appts open. We would have had to take her in in the middle of the day. Her school has a policy I don't agree with about being dismissed early, even for appts, so we are just going to keep the one she has. The docs office did offer to fax a new letter to excuse her from gym class to the school, which I appreciate. Soccer is over, so her running has decreased, and when I had her at the PT office to get her feet molded for orthotics she showed us some additional things to do. Me? I'm tired all the time. I'm frustrated because I'm tired all the time. I don't know where to start to get back on the exercise wagon again. |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Inspired & Wet November Challenge Since Dee's talking turkey... My husband and I talked about it, and we are going to have a quiet Thanksgiving at our house this year. We aren't going anywhere, other than the Turkey Trot, which we are all doing. We aren't having anyone over. We are going to have a big lunch, and just hang out at our own house and have a quiet holiday. We have never done that before. I'm looking forward to it. |

We have done that a few times. It IS nice! My stepdaughter and her husband have actually signed up and paid for the Turkey Trot, so I guess they are really doing it! I think that my other son in law is also planning on doing it. I am very pleased. So I guess that means that after I clean up from the run, DH and I will head to his brother's house for T-Day (about 1 1/2 hours away.) We will spend at least one night there. I still haven't heard when the girls want to have T-Day with us. |

Ann, do you know what was different on the day of the race that caused such severe dehydration? You had done 20 miles in training with no problems, right? In training I did 2 17 milers, 2 18 milers, and a 20 miler. I think I didn't drink enough the days leading up to my race. I also think I spent too much time running around like a crazy woman on Friday and Saturday, and not enough time doing nothing. Plus I was a bit nauseous before the race, I thought maybe it was just nerves, maybe it wasn't. I started vomiting around mile 8, and I'm not sure what caused that exactly, could have been the nausea, could have been the Powerade I don't like, but was drinking anyway. I was running easy, having a good time, high fiving kids and Marines. I just don't know. * I also barely ate on Saturday. I know better. I should have been eating, drinking, and resting. I will do better on May 1, my next attempt at a marathon, that is practically in my back yard. I will run the MCM next year and finish. ** note to self, don't forget to register for the Gettysburg Marathon Edited by ironannekidd 2010-11-18 9:51 AM |
