it sounds like it was put-together by my employer. And an 800ish meter run to T1? Wow, that should have been included in your run-split or something.

Disorganized and tardy is acceptable. Especially in this country, and to me personally (I'm like that). Dangerous is not.

I've made my peace with the 800m run (even if it is on coral-studded soft sloping and uphill sand) ... lots of races have an insane run between the water and T1. Logistically it's actually the best solution and that is one of the nicest transition areas ever.
