TAN #183: TANic Panic ... an impending BACON shortage?! (Page 55)

I always had 20/15 vision but as I got older my arms started to get too short to read effectivly.  The near and far edges of my vision just are not the same as they used to be and it is starting to get really noticable.

I hated the thought of wearing contacts, and simply not having to look through scratched lenses is totally worth it to me. Funnily, I still have some of the old mannerisms from when I had glasses. I'll still occasionally try to push the non-existent glasses up on my nose, or reach to take them off when I've got something in my eye.

Aw come on, admit it, you miss being able to use your glasses as an excuse to surreptitiously flip people off.

My son is turning 18 at the end of the month.  He wants a mountain bike.  He also wants to go sky diving with me (neither of us have ever been).

I already have a mountain bike.

And No you haven't!!!

The need for bifocals just comes on very suddenly.  It did for me anyway.  At 49, I was fine.  At 50, couldn't see up close with my glasses on.  Progressive bifocals are great.
