enders_shadow - 2007-12-03 9:44 AM The ferret thing is getting me in trouble... I am getting many props for my new avatar, but also many questions about how many ferrets I have & how I keep them from smelling bad. LOL! I don't know what is worse, to explain the story behind the avatar or to just lie and pretend like I have one. Hmmm. What would Nibs do?

a nibs would tell the story - especially if it's a funny one!

or, you could lie if that's more interesting - lol

Something about publicly announcing that my inner animal is a ferret just seems wrong...oh wait, I guess I've already done that, huh?

But my secret is safe with Nibs, and the Elfs, and the Reindeers, and...

Oh, shoot - I guess it's already out there.

Why? Do you think anyone actually READS these posts?

:-/

And you did accomplish something pretty cool...even if it wasn't as fast as you wanted. Maybe, on a few days reflection, you won't be so ticked off - In the meantime, the Nibs will be proud for you.

x2!

I'm still feeling disgusted this morning. One of my triclub members suggested that the wind - which was gusting at 30 mph - would've slowed down an unshielded runner by 30-45 seconds a mile, but given that Yanti PRed I don't really buy that.

Scott - CONGRATULATIONS. You had an awesome achievement. (Even if you didn't like your time.) As for Yanti's PR.... Just imagine what she could have done if there HADN"T been so much wind. (And mile 11 hadn't made her nauseous....)

I missed it, what made her nauseous?  Was there a ferret eating LD's?  hehehehehe

I dunno what caused it. But she wrote about it on her log and in her RR.

Mile 11 was "my" mile (not that I actually DID anything), and that's when the nausea started.

She stopped by briefly last night. Said that coca-cola and some food had helped a bit....

I'm on a conference call.

I'm bored.

I can only hear 1/3 of what they're saying, but twice they've asked me a question.

Even though I'm sitting in on this stupid call to get the scoop on what's going on, somebody (whose voice I can't recognize) said that I'm not participating enough to be part of the vote.

I am crabby.

That is all.

In fact, send them TWO ferrets.

She wasn't sure if she'd have internet access until she got back.

So maybe she's, um, having severe BT withdrawal right about now.

Congratulations Scott, Yanti, Kendra, and everyone else who had a race this weekend - really huge accomplishments!

"Inner Ferret" - I like that.  My dog loves ferrets, (not for eating, by the way), but for some reason, she thinks they are her "babies".  I sat for a ferret for a week, and Chelsea was just fascinated by it.  Her dog sitter takes her to PetSmart and has to drag her from the ferrets.  NO, she does not get one for a pet!  Way too much work!

Procrastination?

I have no idea what that word means.... Do you suppose it could be what I'm doing right now? This very moment? While I type on this keyboard? And repeatedly hit RELOAD to see if anyone has posted anything new in the Challenge Forum? All in an effort to feel like I'm doing something, anything RATHER than do.... well, what I'm probably SUPPOSED to be doing?

No.... that can't be it....

there was a lot of substance in the post, just not many words - the substance comes into play by letting you know that your post has been read and is very much appreciated - you brought a smile to someone's face

without that simple LMAO - you may have gone the rest of the day wondering..............

How's that for post padding substance??  ;-)

Yeah, Hubby was a little confused when we were in Wal-Mart last night and I started chuckling when I saw Little Debbies on the end isle.  They were the Christmas ones...  And I passed them.  No evil, LD's in our house
