I wonder if they will actually bloom???

-how many people post pics of their seedlings online? Laughing

Of course they will under your loving care!

I'd post pics of my seedlings 'cause it would be a miracle. I have the opposite of a green thumb. Plants look at me and go AAAAAAARGH and spontaneously keel over.

haha but you are good with puppies!

PUPPY YUMMY SCHMOOGLE PUPPY LOVE!!!

And puppies loooove it when you nibble on them--they want to nibble right back!

I use to nibble the puppies a bit, but I got out of the habit this summer when my mom started spraying them with the Bitter spray to keep them from chewing each other hairless.  That bitter stuff sticks around for a long time and I think it had more of an effect of me than on the dogs...

They re-advertised the NC job. I had pulled my application. I may re-apply.

That could be a window opening...

I think that I need to find a job...I am no longer mentally/emotionally able to 'work' at my parents place.  My mom desperately needs the help and it would be better if I made the 88 hours/month of respite care available for someone else to do.

I think that I am just shutting down because the stress levels are so high over there.

It looks like tomorrow is going to be our last snow day.  The rain is on its way and the snow will be just a memory come Christmas.

Spokes - 2008-12-21 9:27 PM But, I'd also have to supervise 7 people - which I've never done before - and I'd be under a lot more pressure than I am here.

Sounds like there is a LOT to consider.  Being BP, I try to avoid high pressure situations-especially when there are a lot of other things changing.  Whatever you do, make sure to stay in touch with your Dr.   I got out of touch with my Dr. after moving to Canada (it was more his fault than mine) and had my first truly manic episode...I was getting close to being admitted, but my parents realized what was happening and my dad fetched me home.

You definitely need to take care of yourself first. Your own job could definitely be a lower-stress, much more of a 'building' and self-regulating, stabilizing factor.

It's always hard to work for family, no matter what.

Five hours from Savannah, drive time, basically same flight time (but more options) but ironically the same flight time out to here as well.

NC... I'm not sure I'd like it there. Its the South, Raleigh is not that cheap with all the salaries that are paid at NC State, UNC and Duke, and the only reason the state is "blue" is because of the burbs around Raleigh. You get outside of there, and its racist/ignorance central.

Raleigh's still way cheaper than California.

The area is really nice.

There are lots of nice places to drive to in the South--I loved travelling there even though I *hated*, and this level of *hate* cannot be overstated, where I was.

Spokes - 2008-12-21 9:30 PM I don't see how you can stand living up there in the rain and the gloom that lasts for months. I know the summers are gorgeous - but getting there would be such a long haul

Although it is often overcast, it doesn't rain nearly as much as people are led to believe.  And when the sun comes out it is that much more precious.  And there are more rainbow opportunities.

And how many sentence fragments can I start with and...

Spokes - 2008-12-21 9:39 PM I'm not sure the extra 6-10 grand a year is worth all the stress... but, OTOH, I can put it all in a retirement account and have it matched dollar for dollar.

oooh, that's a plus.

You need to trust your own judgment.

I have learned that the little voice that gives caution is well grounded and should be listened to. Now I just need to give the little voice more creditability before I've blown it. Maybe someday I will learn...

I think I could get used to it. I mean, I've lived in cold climates ... I think a major reason I think Southern California is 'cold' is that I expect it to be warm, and it's often not, I'm majorly underdressed for it, and I currently have a roommate who thinks that 60 degrees indoors is fine. BRRRRRRRRRR ...

Morning, Nibbs!

The first day of a 2-week holiday with the Monkeys. I think I have the library, the grocery store, the mall to see Santa, and some cookie baking on tap.
