Maybe spending the weekend in Pittsburgh would be a good place to start. |

Elite 3144 | Subject: RE: The Ghoulies are STILL doing Ironman distances this month!!! Hey Ghoulies! I've had a fun morning so far... -Drizzle turned the whole San Diego metro area into a parking lot. My 23 mile commute took 1 hr 20 min and included getting to witness a nice rear-ending right in front of me on an interchange ramp. "What, you mean my brakes don't work as well when the road's wet?" -My Sharpie has been kidnapped by someone from my building. You can mess with a lot of the stuff on my desk, but Sharpies are OFF limits! -We're getting a visit from some Washington big wig on Friday so I have to be ready to be all bright eyed and bushy tailed right away that morning. At least it'll be Friday. I think that's about it so far. I hope everyone's doing well today! |

Hope everything is well in the village! 4 days till my half marathon! Im a bit worried because ive been a bit undisiplined in the past week with training due to trying to get my stuff in order to leave for Vic! Ahhh...just havent been running enough :s ...hope my run fitness hasnt dived...my last long long run was over 2 weeks ago...nervous!Oh well! My fault i guess! Ahhh...and its really stormy out..so looks like the best i can do when i get home is get on the trainer for a bit? Hmmm :s Relax. You'll be fine. I only had 2 runs in during the month of January, before my HM. And my longest run leading up to it was 10 miles. I think Tom was pretty much in the same boat. I have another this weekend and I haven't run in 2 weeks because of my stubborn hamstring. Go, run, have fun, you'll do great! That was the exact same situation I was in. Melindy - you're going to be F I N E!!!! Show up, smile, have fun, and enjoy the race. You're going to do great! |

Elite 3144 | Subject: RE: The Ghoulies are STILL doing Ironman distances this month!!! ironannekidd - 2010-04-28 5:58 AM To all employers everywhere: We don't want to work 40 or more hours a week when it is beautiful and sunny outside and you don't appreciate our efforts. Hell we don't want to work 40 hours or more a week when it's raining and ugly outside if you don't appreciate our efforts. We want to get outside! We want to run! We want to bike! We want to swim! We want to be healthy and enjoy our lives! We would like to propose 20 hour workweeks. If we could work 4, 5 hour days we would still get our work done. You would be happy, we would be happy, the world would be happy. We would still expect to make the same salary of course. So you employers of the world talk about this. Talk about how great it would to have happy productive workers. Talk about the money you would save in health care and lost time. Talk about the money you would save because you don't have to run the heat or air conditioning as many hours during the day, or have the lights on. Talk about how you could boast your company as a GREEN company now. We may even be able to compromise a little and put in a few more hours, if you let us do it from home. You may be surprised at the great ideas that come to someone while they are out on a long run or bike ride. Sincerly, All of us Ann, this is genius. Very well done. I think you may have a future as a life/work/balance writer. I'll be the first to buy your first book! |
