Hotel has a nice gym....and a pool! Almost unheard of over here. I brought my goggles so will try to get a quick swim in tonight as well. Nice running! Great news on the pool too. That has to be a pleasant surprise! *surprising toppage* Edited by disturbed275 2009-10-05 10:26 AM |

Had a great time yesterday with the donks...played some kickball with all the kids. It was a blast! One too many jello shots for me but all is good! I teach 2 sports classes with the kids (basketball for today) then will get my swim in and teach 3 water classes. Also need to train for Body Vive as I am showing the new stuff tomorrow and still don't know it all! Have a great Monday! Hope you find time to breath amongst that busy schedule |

I'm going over to meet with some of the physicians/sites that are part of our research program. I am usually in EU a couple times a month. Makes training interesting. Usually no access to pools or bikes, so I heavy up on runs those weeks. It's working for me this month with the half marathon in November.kcarroll - 2009-10-04 1:17 PM Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday. The weather was terrific today. Lots of sun. I got a swim in early then went out for b'fast. This afternoon rode the Electra (and yes, she has a wicker basket and bell) up to the town sqaure for the fall festival. I heart kettlecorn. So now got to go pack. Am working in Munich for the next couple days and am flying out tonight. Will try to keep irrational jetlagged but can't sleep posting to a minimum. Not going to forget the ambien this trip. Saucony's and Garmin first things going in the bag. safe travels...curious, what kind of work you do that brought your there? good luck with your HM. Which one you doing? |

Was on pace for a BQ until about mile 17 or so when things sorta started going downhill. Perhaps I'll figure out this pacing thing in another marathon or 2..... YAAAYY NEAL! Sounds like your race went better than my race! haha This is basically my overview...the race is called Tuffest Three...three member relay--run-bike-run...run 1-6.9km, bike 23km, run 2-4.6km...it was 3 degrees celcius, 93% humidity and 20km/h winds.....basically all that equals friggin cold....and I had the bike...i couldn't bend my fingers after about 3-4 laps then they gradually started to be okay and I was wearing gloves...and a balaklava..it was pretty darn awesome...haha oh well...Don't know my exact time yet! I'm currently lying in bed because it is the warmest place I can think of...I just want to sleep...haha...im holding off for now...if i go to bed now I'm not getting up till tomorrow! I don't even know why I'm so tired...I blame the cold though I think!!! Congrats to Neal and all others who raced today!!! way to tough out the cold! sounds miserable to me!!!! have you thawed out yet??? Im standing in front of my fireplace...and I can not seem to warm up...should I blame it on you??? I guess I need to go bake some cookies or something to warm up the kitchen! dont want to turn on the heat yet....instead I will get up....put on tshirt, long sleeve shirt over that and then maybe even a sweatshirt...with sweats, thick socks or my uggs...and Im good to go...til the fog burns off and it begins to warm up. BRRRRRRR it was in the mid 30's here this morning...see what a wimp I am!!!! |

I think I left you guys at 43 pages, you have all done WELL!! I did a little run yesterday, further than the plan called for, but less than I was actually set out to do. They have had a nasty couger hanging in the area, some hungry bears, and two wolves. It was either take a loop where there were some houses, or have my gma follow me with a car. Yeah, that is what I want, my own personal overweight running critic! wow...cougars and wolves and bears....sounds like the wizard of oz with a few stand ins! be careful...where do you live the zoo??? kidding of course....we have a mtn lion siting near where I like to do some single track running...needless to say...Im staying away from there...at least til I build up some stamina and speed! haha time to get your gma out of the car and running with you!? right??? |
