Mine was kind of odd, our furnace that's not even a year old isn't working and we had the heating co. here for several hours both days interrupting my workouts. We still have no heat and had to buy some stand alone heaters early this evening. Brrrrr... maybe Helen would want to do some winter training here. I still have my workout to do for today on the bike. |

I do not mind getting out in the cold for a ride or run.....but inside my house i like to be warm and comfy. Perhaps because when i was growing up my Dad always kept the house FREEZING. I hated that.... Hope its all sorted out soon! |

CLOSED <rant> so over the weekend I learn that there is a 5 mile run in St. Louis on 3/13 (this is about a 2 hour drive or so) and I ask my running buddy if he's interested via email. Initially he says yes - then it becomes are we going to spend the night - well, I can't because I have to work a detail from 10p - 2a whereupon he gets upset and I get the email "so, you are going to drive 5 hours to run 5 miles for a "sample" of budweiser, you're kidding right?" Well, no, I wasn't and it wasn't about getting a beer. I just don't get people some times. </rant> |

My coach has me adding 10-15 minutes each week to my long run. I'm slowly getting faster too, still pretty slow but way faster then me last summer and fall. |

We registered about 120 kids in 45 minutes for the ski/board event and raised $4422.00. It was pretty crazy. I'm glad it is over with. I'm quite certain this was my last year as being chairperson. Three years and out sounds good to me. Duane- If you want to drive to St. Louis then go for it. Goodnight all. |

I battled some pretty cold temps and wind on one day but yesterday was beautiful. You forget how great it is to ride outside. I am jealous of those who live down south and can ride all year!!!! Duanne...do the race if you want. Im spending Sunday at a 10 Krace that is 1 1/2 hours away. many of my friends are racing the 1/2 Mary so I will wait for them and then celebrate with some beer  When is everyone doing their first tri of the season???? Its one month until Spring! My first one is on May 9th. Hopefully the water temps will be above 60!!! I think we need another challenge to revive this group. Any one interested? The person with the most time SBR wins. Special awards for those with the most time in each discipline. Will start 2/28 and go for 2 weeks. |

My first tri is in less than 2 weeks in Arizona. A little sprint. I am shipping my bike off today. I'm up for a challenge, how will it work? Well since we do not have a spreadsheet....unless someone wants to MAKE one......why don't we all try and put our daily minutes here at the end of the day? This will help keep people accountable and motivated I think. Now...prizes....lemme think on that one. i LOVE the idea of a prize! |
