Stef gave me permission to share her pic. Here she is with our sons Spencer (10 on the left) and Greyson (12 on the right). My sons took one for the Chrome Team! lol

That is an absolutely beautiful picture of your family!!  You should be very proud.  You can see the pride and happiness Stef feels for her family in her eyes in that one.  Wow... beautiful

I absolutely would have but Stef wouldn't let me. Probably a good thing - I've got a big ol' Charlie Brown head. ;-)

When we first discussed it at dinner, the boys were both enthusiastically IN. Briannah got a very concerned look on her face and said, "Do I have to do that too?" She was quite relieved when she didn't. 

that's funny!! your kids are gorgeous!! hoping you will have some time to catch up later..want to hear all about Stef, the kids and you! how are you!? and your job hunting? Surely someone has latched on to you by now!!! have a great evening and tell Stef I said hi and that I love the picture!

I wanted to keep you posted on my brother. He is going home tomorrow...got to finally have some liquids this afternoon and a soft food diet tonight! YAY~ thanks you guys for the prayers! I know they helped!

Pam, I have not read the whole blog -- I am just catching up so you may have a lot of answers already.  Life is simple this way, you are a college graduate i.e. now an official young adult.  As a new and improved version of an adult, it is time to start your new life, your new direction and live with your new dicisions...  We made our kids go to schools at least 500 miles from home so they would have to be on their own... They came back, we moved to AZ... go figure.   You need to do what is right for your future, not theirs...

It is tough, but it is also time to grow up.... Emerson -- the one with kids older than you...

Giving up driving is hard, is is like giving up part of your freedom.  Peg had to five years ago, it still bugs her... even though she knows it is the right thing... Emerson

Back from my visit to the hematologist and all is well.....Another 6 mos until I have the priveledge of going thru the stress and testing again!

The tests end? Um. When? LOL I just go as scheduled, and hope for the best. So far, so good.

I think they end after five years.  I guess I will find out when it hits five years...  for me that will be June of '09.  I can start donating blood again. Emerson

To all of us who are survivors... Here is the rule from the Red Cross:

Cancer
Eligibility depends on the type of cancer and treatment history. If you had leukemia or lymphoma, including Hodgkin’s Disease and other cancers of the blood, you are not eligible to donate. Other types of cancer are acceptable if the cancer has been treated successfully and it has been at least 5 years since treatment was completed and there has been no cancer recurrence in this time. Some low-risk cancers including squamous or basal cell cancers of the skin do not require a 5 year waiting period.

Eric would not be able to donate. After five years, I will be able to post prostate cancer. It depends on your cancer.  Dee, I think you will be OK at the end of five years.  Julie, I don't remember which kind you had...  I was a five gallon donor and it irked me to no end that I could give with a high PSA i.e. early cancer, but not once it was formally diagnosed and then removed.  In June of '09, I will start donating again...  EK
