Yes, although I'm guessing it's built in to the BBS software that they use and would be a lot harder to change than other things.

Well, for us - yes. For them, probably not so much.

Aaaw - I didnt want to  come to work today...its never as bad as you think!!!!

That's true.  I just prefer sleeping in to getting up early.

Whoa, how'd I miss all the convo? Oh yeah, I was writing a letter to my dad. Toughie. He wants me to come back to Indonesia to take care of all his affairs and help look after my mom. Just can't do it. They're very well-looked-after, since we have live-in household help, and my sister and brother are fairly close and make sure things are going smoothly.

Anyhow. I know these are decisions everyone eventually makes with regard to their aging parents.

But ... the good news is my mom is doing much better, she may even be able to return to her walking next week. She walks religiously for 45 min-1 hr a day. This has not failed her even in her dementia, and I'm sure it helps control it, actually.

Oh Yanti thats tough - given they have your brother and sister there Im sure they have plenty of help on hand.

Thats great that your Mum is still physically active and even better news she can get back to it next week!! Hoorah!

That's really tough.  I'm sure he would love to have you there, but it sounds like they have a lot of help.  Glad to hear that your mom is doing better.  Hopefully she can get back to walking soon.

I do love pancakes of all kind. How do you make the cornbread ones?

I bought a box of the Jiffy cornbread mix.  Their recipe is to mix that with 3/4 cup milk, 1 egg, and 2 tbsp of shortening.  I didn't have shortening, so I just used melted butter instead.  They are a little crumbly, but very yummy.
