And to think I actually compared criminals to wild animals. I stated I wanted animals to criminals.....ummm excuse me could you pass me the salt, I am about ready to eat my words.ilucy2 - 2009-10-04 6:23 PM Hi there team...!!! I think I left you guys at 43 pages, you have all done WELL!! I did a little run yesterday, further than the plan called for, but less than I was actually set out to do. They have had a nasty couger hanging in the area, some hungry bears, and two wolves. It was either take a loop where there were some houses, or have my gma follow me with a car. Yeah, that is what I want, my own personal overweight running critic! Nice run! Glad you didn't become some wild animal's dinner! no need to do that Lucy....remember that some animals are like a pussycat compared to some of those hardened criminals...so, Im not so sure we should pass that salt...yet!!! run safe...do you have somewhere that is heavily travelled with others...so you are not the prime appetizer for these animals??? |

For the cat, I was told to never run from them...so what do you do when you are already runnnning! The bear, I was told to carry a bell, or anything to make noise. I figured my ragged, panting breath would do. For the wolves....I was simply told I was sh**$#$ out of luck! As much as I love the country...I sure love the city!ilucy2 - 2009-10-04 6:23 PM Hi there team...!!! I think I left you guys at 43 pages, you have all done WELL!! It was either take a loop where there were some houses, or have my gma follow me with a car. Yeah, that is what I want, my own personal overweight running critic! and here i thought running/cycling trying to avoid getting struck by the Suburban women haphazardly driving their SUVs while talking on their cell phones was precarious. cougars, bears and wolves. are you frigging kidding me? you've got me beat. handsdown. i guess they dont make a can of mace big enough to ward off any of those animals, huh? RUN SAFE. stacieb how about a running partner? or treadmill...and I HATE THE DREADMILL! but not as much as becoming dinner for a hungry cat, bear or wolf! |

I get up early so I can get my workday over with early, so I can go home and do the things I actually WANT to do. I usually go to bed around 9 or so, not long after the kiddos go to bed. I don't mind it, at least for now. Going to work early will allow me to get home and get a run in before it gets dark this winter, that's a definite PLUS. |

I should go to church, but after I had a weird experience at the church near my house I have not been (except for when I am visiting my parents and at the church I grew up in) in two to three years or so...I just thought it was odd that on Easter (this was a couple of years ago) the whole sermon was about how President Bush was evil...now I am a democrat and I was not a big Bush fan, but I don't think EASTER (or church at all) is the place to be discussing this...So now I go for a run and pray on Sunday mornings...its kind of my own church. Sorry about your experience but way to go for making your own place! I think that is truly what God is about..not some building with people saying you must do it "my" way. *independent TOPpage* can you tell my mom that!? PPPPLEEEEEEEEEEEASE! ha! I still can't figure out how to make my IL's understand! I highly doubt it would work for your mom! Although I will say I just don't listen to them if they bring it up....agree to disagree! Wow - we have a guest speaker this weekend and he was talking about how obedience can lead to legalism and sounds like that is at work here! I wore a bike jersey to church last week (Team Astana that I won through Trek during the TdF) and some people were so Bill do you think that is appropriate. I basically said that if I get to Heaven and God calls me out for how I dressed at church I will be good with that because it is not about our clothes (or where we worship Him, or many other things) people, it is about our relationship with Him. They didn't really like that response THATS PITIFUL! dont get me started!!!! why do people think they are holier then thou...and can make those judgements....I think that if you go to church...no matter what it is you are wearing...and you pray rather then look around you and see the bad in others...you will go much further then those who criticize and look for the bad rather then good in others!!! durn hipocrits! |
