ironannekidd - 2010-09-24 10:37 AM Yeah... so I put the October challenge out there.

I'm going to go over to Tri Talk and advertise for the Challenge Thread.

Uh-oh.  I don't think they like it when you post about challenges in other forums.  Putting it in your sig line is okay though.

I think there may be a few new people interested. Some people bashed it though. If they don't want to participate that's fine, there is no need to bash.

Afternoon all. Just checking in after logging my run. I have a lot of ground to make up. Ah, well. One step at a time.

I'll check in on the Ghoulie Challenge thread. It is early yet. Lots of people sign up for challenges late.

Melindy, good luck on the chronic liver and pancreatitis Quiz. Your post the other day about the girl who will  most likely need a new liver by 25 just makes me shake my head. So sad and so preventable.

Off to clean up my mess in the yard. I chopped and trimmed until my hands wouldn't work any more.

Talk to you tomorrow, Ghouligans.

Oh and By the Way

Happy FFFF all

Hi Ghouls. I may have missed everyone today. Hope you are off to a Fabulous FFFF.

I ran all my weekend errands today. PetSmart, Sports Authority, Target, grocery store etc. Every single parking lot I saw one of my top pet peeves. People not returning carts and leaving them jammed between cars.  Now, I am willing to give old people, anyone disabled, or a parent with really little kids a pass on this.......BUT.........if you are an able bodied woman with a teenage daughter, you really should return the damn cart to the designated space that is less than 25 feet from your car. But if you really can't be bothered, may I suggest removing the SEMPER FI bumper sticker from your Volvo.

There. I feel better.

Just to clarify this. Unless you are unable to, I believe you should return them, too. I'm a cart returner, or at least I've trained my kids to be cart returners for me.

Ann, what's your plan call for this weekend? I'm doing 18. Not sure if it will be tomorrow or Sunday. Weather will be cooler on Sunday, but I feel like I just want to get it over with. Also, I've been icing my left shin a bit. Starting to feel like I may be getting shin splints. Gotta keep the body uninjured is now #1 priority.

Well, you are in Med School so you get an occasional pass on being a member of The Losers Club. At least you are studying with someone. I, on the other hand, have no excuses. I'm planning to get 18 in tomorrow, so I'll probably just stay in with a book and call it an early night.

Haha. Ya. I have my trail HM tomorrow and a 10k race on Sun...so I'm also being a loser because of that...but mainly because I need to study and get stuff straight in my head. The pressures of being competent...sigh* haha. (well its more the pressure of being "the best, the smartest, the whatever"...haha)

I might do 14 home from the soccer game tomorrow, then maybe 10 on Sunday, I'm not really sure what I'm doing for sure yet. I've really been run down this week. People at work aren't friendly and don't talk, but 2 people asked me if I was okay this week, they said I looked pale.

I'll do what I can.  You're right #1 priority is to keep the body uninjured!

Well, you've already done 20 and you have enough of time to get another 20/22 miler done which would be plenty.  A step back week might be a good idea. I just started back on iron supplements. I don't like taking them, but it's hard to get enough iron without eating red meat and I have a history of anemia.
