Well Rhoda dear, how are you?

grumpy...  but feeling better that I got some exercise in.  now just the normal house crap before maybe going to bed...  I promise I'll be less grumpy after I finish my glass of wine.  Laughing

You taking it easy today?  It sounds like your having a rough day.

Yeah, just hanging. And procrastinating on things I COULD, in fact, be doing.

General trend is up--there'll always be some off days in the mix.

Nice. What kind of wine??? We are all foodies in here ...

Tonight's choice is a Pinot Noir from Oregon.  With some pretzel rods to go with it.  They looked good when I pulled them from the cabinet...

I currently have nothing planned, but many things for the following weekend!

How did I manage to sign up for a race on Halloween weekend? Stupid, stupid, stupid!

I have to arrive by 7:45am...

I'm gonna watch my Tigers play NC state on Saturday then I've got a lot of GMAT studying to do since I'm taking the GMAT on Wednesday *PANIC ATTACK!!!*

Pretzel rods go with pretty much everything, and are good all by themselves.

I should eat some brekkie, but really not into it. That's how I *raelly* know it's not such a good day and easy does it.

You'll be fine!

You went to GMAT review, right? Rely heavily on the strategies. 50% of any standardized test (and I used to teach SAT, GRE, GMAT, LSAT, and MCAT review, different parts of each test) is simply the strategy of taking standardized tests, and whichever one you're taking in particular.

You've got the goods. Now go gettem Tiger.

So my odd tasks for the night...  are 1) picking a background for my daughter's school picture day tomorrow.  they are all either really cheesy looking or really boring looking.  This shouldn't be so difficult!  and 2) I have to somehow figure out how to get this video of my daughter and her friend off the camera and onto my computer.  I'm lucky I know how to take a video with the darn thing and now I have to figure out how to get it off too?  This is NOT my forte...

I'm hoping the wine will provide the clarity that my run did not.  Wink

When all else fails ... post shyte in CoJ. Somebody there always knows how to do something. Of course, whenever I do that, I gotta put up with half a page of stupid comments teasing me before someone will spit up the answer.

Thanks!!  I've done practice tests etc through Kaplan and done tons of studying through the Kaplan study books so I know the strategies and the different problems that are on the test so now it's all about taking the test and doing well.  I hate standardized tests/college entrance type tests.  So much stress and nervousness involved.

Alright Crushers...  I've made the picture background choice and found a CD I need to load before getting any videos off the camera...  I'm calling it a night.  Me and my wine are going to enjoy the tub.

I'm off to swim now - did I mention I hate swimming?! I'm hopeful seeing as the weather looks bad that the pool will be nice and quiet at least, thats if all the lanes aren't taken up by squad training for once!

Catch you all tomorrow!

Good for you making it happen anyway. After my tri on Sept 5 my preferred pool closed for a month of maintenance. I went to the next closest pool and it was so poorly organized I never went back. The swimmers didn't know the rules of lane sharing (I am not an expert at all, but I know enough that none of the more advanced lane users get angry at me) and during so called "fitness swim" time this other pool lets tons of kids an adults stand around and get in the way of lane swimmers (this is reserved for public swim time at my usual pool). To make matters worse, someone had so much perfume on that it seemed to cover the final 1/3 of my chosen lane like gasoline on water. (I'm sensitive to fragrances but I can't imagine that is was nice for anyone else in the pool.)

So, my pool reopened at the end of September but my month off put me in a state of inertia that I have yet to break. I think November...

Oh, and I wish I got into triathlon before MY wedding. I was so excited when I went bridesmaid dress shopping for the first time with this woman because I changed shape so much from the time of my wedding (February).

On the other hand though, ppl usually look there very best on their wedding day and never look like that again, whereas if I keep this up... Laughing

Dragged my butt out of bed and went running at 7:40 in the 50 degree weather.  That's huge for me... I"m really proud I actually got up and it felt good to get out and run even if it was cold.

Big date with the wife tomorrow night. She won't tell me what it is. Makes me wonder. She usually doesn't make such a big deal out of it.

Saturday we have big family stuff going on. Baby shower, then a nephew is having his Eagle Scout court of honor, then the big family Halloween party. And when I say big, I mean bbiiiiiggggg. I come from a large family (11 kids) so when we get together there are over 60 of us when kids are included.

Sunday is church and recovering from Saturday.
