9.5 mile run on the treadmill yesterday was very hard. Wanted to hit 10, but with only 6 minutes left, I just couldn't talk myself into it.

Then massage which felt great . . .

And finally a 1 hr right this am . . . crotch still hates the bike and after this am, I feel like I am so much further behind than last year with my watts and strength on the bike.  Have to force myself to buckly down . .

57.18 miles in 3:10:22.  The pavement was so bumpy that I think every screw that could come loose did.  Both water cages, clip on aeros, etc.  Oh and add that to the freaking 10mph wind that seemed to always be at some head angle.  Ugh.  Still averaged 18 mph though.

Finished the half in 1:46:38.

Wasn't able to do my usual coffee - bathroom routine this morning because we were running super late (snow storm turned a 2.5 hour drive into almost a 4 hour drive).  Held 7:50s through 10K and then my stomach stop cooperating.  Had to stop twice to use the bathroom at miles 8 and 12 (yes, 12 -- it was that bad).  Still finished with a solid PR, but I WILL be getting my 1:42 at the Danbury Half in April.

rizer22 - 2011-02-27 11:27 AM

Finally picked up my new road bike, and first ever road bike for me.  I am a mountain biker, but of course now have the Tri itch.  Bought it as a 2010 leftover, with a huge markdown on price.

Yes, it's white.  I know that means "slow" but I love white and blue. I won't be getting race wheels this year, the seat shouldn't be too high, I had it set up yesterday.  I am sure the angle of the picture is weird, and the cranks aren't lined up. But I think the stems are hidden!!!  I know I will be beaten to a pulp in the regular forums.  They find a way to point all these things out!!!  Too funny!!

I can finally take my mountain bike off the trainer!!!

DDVMM - 2011-02-26 5:04 PM We did it! 10 miles in beautiful weather - I was overdressed and started shedding clothes at 3 miles. It was a great run - finally I believe we will finish the HM! Took some advil with my warm shower after and I am not even sore this time!

Congrats!  You're going to be fantastic at you HM!

kelly - congrats on the 13.1, great time given the issues (were you channeling Erica? who now has free rein to let you have it!)

Rizer - nice bike!  i am iching to MTB a bit more, I herniated a disc 2 years ago and have not wanted to risk it.  I need an excuse to get a 29er, maybe next year.

Good day of training, finally for me, got in a good swim and a good run.

weight 222 - i really have to focus on my diet if i am going to get to 210, not sure I want to, I hate that feeling as if i am starving all day - and, no, for me it never goes away, ever.

I'm with you on the weight loss.  I'm at a comfortable 143.  It would be great to get down to 136-140, but I am hungry as it is....not sure I want that empty feeling either.  Once training ramps up a bit, I think a few will drop off.  I'm not trying until then!!!

Rizer - nice bike! Why is white considered slow??

Kelly - I think that is a SUPER time! I'm sorry you had some stomach issues...I bet you would have made your original goal without tummy troubles! You still PR'd so you should be very happy with yourself!! I think your awesome!

I was poking fun at the Main Triathalon threads.  Anytime you post a new pic of your bike, they find something to poke fun at, and they also make sure to mention when they see a white bike, they say "white is slow".  It's all in good fun

It was snowing but the snow melted as soon as it hit the ground.  Lots of puddles and wet shoes but no slickness.  Hyannis is a really good course.  The start and finish are chaotic, but the course is good.

That's horrible about daylight savings -- it was finally starting to get light out in the morning.

Easy swim drill set for me today.  My colon is still not happy from yesterday, I'm hoping it starts to feel better soon.
