I would probably use confession as a backdoor brag. Gosh, it's hard to embarrass me. I feel kinda funny about my tooth(lessness), I guess, but I still flash my big ol' crazy lady grin everywhere ... |

My friends think it's silly that I want to stand around slingin' product at races but I think it will be a good opportunity to get to know race directors and more of the logistical side of racing. I am sort of a newbie in the running community so I feel I have a lot of ground to make up. Well, plus, and let's be honest, I get free food Totally cool! BTW, i decided to work from home today, because I was getting nothing done at work. Hmm, maybe I should log off BT... You guys still at work? It's 8.20pm here and the wine bottle is calling. Ah well, keep at it boys and girls, soon be five o'clock for you. And remeber its Friday- knocking off early day, unless you are already at home logged on to BT!!

Seattle | Subject: RE: Yanti & Lynn: Manatee Madness Mentor Group CLOSED Alright, alright. I have a real training question!!!!! How long is your typical 1/2 marathon taper and what is the decrease in % of mileage you do? Oh, and I am talking more for a "B" race, more of a tune up/check in type of race. |

How long is your typical 1/2 marathon taper and what is the decrease in % of mileage you do? Oh, and I am talking more for a "B" race, more of a tune up/check in type of race. i've never actually followed any particular plan for a HM, but think I usually will do about a 10-12 mile run the weekend before the race and then maybe a 5 miler on Tuesday and 3 miler on Thursday. Wednesday and Friday I normally swim and do so even during the taper, my only concession is that Friday's swim is light. I probably do it all wrong and would have better results with an actual plan, but I tend to be an idiot at times |
