Looks like Nate is at around 20 miles in the run and Jamie 15+. Both look consistent on the run so far. Hoping they can keep it together and finish strong!

Looks like things might have gotten tough for a couple of miles but they are both pushing through.

On an especially exciting note, one of the girls I swim with every Sunday afternoon, Sandra Murphy (bib #690), just qualified for Kona!!!! She finished in 11:12:35 and was 2nd in her age group. So ridiculously happy for her.

Nate looked pretty good crossing the finish line. You can check the video on the Ironman side at 12.47 that where he is coming in ... looking really strong.

I think I might have just seen Jamie cross the finish line at 14:23.30 but I could be wrong. Athlete tracker doesn't show him finished yet. If it was him he seemed to have an issue with his right leg. 

How do you get to a specific time on the ironman site? Might just be that I'm trying to do it on the phone...

I'm on night shift and I've been checking in every now and then. I love re-living ironman through other people.

14:56:40. Looks like its been a tough day, but he got through it. Fantastic job!

Looking at their run splits...... I can totally remember the dark place I went to from about mile 15-19 of both IM runs. Pushing through that is one of the hardest athletic things that I will ever do. They both got through and finished strong.

Really great work from both of them, but I was confident they would do great.

Jamie and Nate, congratulations, you are an Ironman (men).

x2. The dark spot comes at different times for different people in different races, but it comes. Major congrats to both of you for getting to the line.

Congratulations Jamie and Nate!!! IRONMEN!!! For me one of the hardest parts of IM Lou is the halfway point on the marathon when you can go off to the right to the finish, or to the left for your second loop. The finish only being a few hundred yards away! Good times.......

Hey gang, sitting here at breakfast, thought I'd do a quick update. I'm sure for those of you who were following Nate's and my progress that I definitely had some trouble on the back half of the run. Well, around mile 15-16 I realized I was going to pass out. So, I sat on a curb…then woke up with bunch of people around me. Long story short for now, definitely details later, I refused the ambulance, knowing even if I walked the rest, I had plenty of time to finish. So, not according to plan, and my face looks pretty awful, which happens when faces hit pavement, but I was getting that medal. Nate did awesome, really hit his goal time, which I'm thrilled about. Thanks for all the support, I'll give a more detailed post when I'm home.

Well, here is my less than thrilling RR from this weekend. I'm am not ashamed to say I got worked by a 13 year old girl, she has a really bright future in this sport if she sticks with it, I beat her into the pool (it was a reverse) by 100 yards and she ended up beating me by 3 minutes, so needless to say she was a fish. It was good to see some youth at our local race and really good to see someone so young compete like that.
