Oooooo.... so many options.

What do you like or what kind of food were you looking to eat and how much $ (per plate) were you looking to spend?  I could go on, and on, and on.........

Got to have some deep dish while there so a good pizza joint - a steak house would be good..but not the usual suspects..Frisco's etc...maybe an individual owned place that is reasonable...we have a couple of teenagers with us so it will be casual dining mostly!

Not a deep dish fan so can't help you there.

As to a chop house, try either The Saloon (behind the John Hancock) or Bandera on Michigan.  I prefer The Saloon.

Have fun while you are here.

How is everyone's season so far?

'Pool are wallowing in the lower third of the table, but the new style is starting to take shape.  Unfortunately, they don't have anyone, other than Luis, that has a great nose for the back of the net.  I would be SHOCKED if they finished within sniffing distance of the top 4 by the end of the year.

Chicago Fire are into the playoffs, it is just a matter of where they will play and where they will be seeded.

USMNT are through to the next round.  They SHOULD qualify, but good lord, they went down AGAIN last night within the first 5 minutes.  Fortunately, Dempsey put on a hell of a show.

And the nightmare that could happen has happened.  Bornini is out for 3 months with foot surgery.  We are now down to one single striker.  And if he happens to get injured, we are royally screwed.

Open game - very entertaining..could have gone either way. But yes, tough call to lose on....

Did you see the Manure/ Chelski game? Talk about a travesty....Clattenburg should be sent to referee Rec games - Chelsea were better than Manure hands down - Young feels a touch and dives....shocking - leading to the first red then Torres is clipped but falls theatrically and gets a second yellow and he is gone!...awful refereeing

Still...overall it will still be a 3 horse race...I agree with Red Nose on that

I did not see it, but I have seen the aftermath on the web.

Has not been a good year for the refs so far.

On a different note, Dempsey is still scoring.  Enjoying keeping an eye on him.  Hoping he continues to contribute.

Interesting to see on Being Liverpool that they tried to get him but the price was too steep
I was not impressed with his efforts in the recent WC qualifiers...outside of the 2 tap in goals I dont think he really elevated his game to help the team. Bradley seems like the leader but the US team needs Dempsey to be more of a talisman if they are to progress and improve

Agreed, but keep in mind he is also still getting up to speed from a fitness perspective.  He was essentially training on his own for a month+ without any pre-season friendlies to help get up to match fitness.  And it showed in his return match with Spurs after the International break.  He was completely spent after 65 minutes and was virtually useless for that time.

I agree, though, that he may not be the leader like Bradley, but he is absolutely the emotional spark for them.  Without his fire, they are in a world of hurt.

Lots of news today. ..Beckham headed to PSG? or where does he land?

Chelski have their 9th manager since 2003 when the Russian Mobster took over....fires Di matteo despite him winning the FA Cup and Champions league last season....the man has no patience..
I think Abramovich would make a great Bond villain for the next movie
Rumour is the will try to get Pep Guardiola - can he be even close to as successful as he was a Barca without the team/players he had there? I say Nope...another AVB

MLS cup decided - the conference finals were entertaining...Houston plays well
